Electronics : Creative Zen MicroPhoto 8GB MP3 Player - Grey

Rating: - Good for certain people.
I've had this mp3 player for roughly 6 months now, and for my lifestyle, it has been perfect.

I usually spend 3/4 hours per day using my computer so keeping the machine charged is never an issue. Whenever i do use my mp3 player it is either for roughly an hour on the bus per day or otherwise whenever i feel like it, so again the battery life isnt an issue. However, for people who do not commit to the same life as i do then these things could become more of an implication, having to keep your PC on to charge your mp3, aswell as having a slighlty limited playback time.

At first, the touch pad was a little lairy to get used to, but then again i had never even used an ipod before so thats all fair, and i picked it up within days so there isnt a problem there. The photo function is a little limited in as much as i will never really find a relevant time to use it as the screen is too small to give sufficient details that i can show people using my PC and the internet.

The colour screen is a nice addition to the look of the player, it is a cool player to have.

One flaw possibly is the irritance of not being able to see the screen clearly outside, but i found just shading the screen with my hand easily cleared this issue.

One final point, i promise, is the headphones. If you treat your mp3 like i do, as in taking it in and out of your pocket every 20 minutes or so, then expect to lose the foam coverings for the headphones within a week :P.

Overall perfectly suited for the commuters / teenage lifestyle, relativly robust and dependable.

Rating: - Great little kit
Not sure why the previous guys were having so much trouble with their units, may just be bad luck. Have had mine for over 4 mths now without so much as a hint of a crash. Worked well with my pc synchro, finds songs easily etc. chucked out my nano for this as it was handier, crashed less often, more functions, video capabilities,vibrant colours, beautiful sound, etc.

However, gave it 4 stars due to a couple of pet peeves: over sensitive touch face and i had to get an adaptor to charge it (it only comes with a pc charger)

Do not buy this product!! I've bought two, and both broke beyond use within a month or two. I was careful not to damage either player by dropping them, getting them wet, etc. The first one broke within a month because the hard drive broke. The second lasted two months and I've no idea what was wrong with it. It just stopped turnng on. Before I bought this product I had a high opinion of Creative labs, but I will never purchase anything from them again.

Rating: - Absolutely Fantastic!!!
Got one for Christmas and am so smitten with it! Anyone not keen on getting the ipod should get one of these. They look fab, the colours and blue glow look amazing. The sound is fantastic. The photo quality is also very good for such a little device. It is packed with features, fm radio with great reception, organiser, voice recorder, it has everything.

Don't be put off by any bad reviews. There are always a few products that can be faulty and it is always these that are mentioned, never the many millions that work perfectly! So go buy one, you won't be sorry!

Rating: - wow, besy buy i ever made.
This review is not going to be technical just a bit about the face value of it.
I decided to get this Zen because ipods were too expensive and I had seen my friend with a not as up-to-date version of one. I order mine and then foolishly read the reviews afterwards. Around 90% of them were bad. How I wished I hadn't just spent £130 on it, which for a 14 year old is basically all my savings. However once I got it, I'm glad I hadn't read the reviews first.
It hasn't once in my 6 months of owning it let me down. And I usually have it on all day and then fall asleep with it on, consequently it being on till I wake up and put it on charge, and even then it's connected to my CD player so I can still listen to it.
It's very hard to chip, and easy to keep clean. The screen is good quality and just big enough. The sound quality is amazing and it stores a huge amount of songs, way too many for me too fill it up just yet. The pictures are a good colour and size, and it's able to hold plenty of them too.
The menu is set out in a way it's extremely easy to navigate around. Many of my friends have said they prefer my little Zen to their ipods, even the ones with video.
The colour ranges it comes in are amazing. From plain white to the wacky green I purchased. (Just to be different!)
Best buy I have ever made, and I spend a lot on items such as mp3 players and mobile phones.
