Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - I've played a hell of a lot worse
I have had this game for 3 days. And regardless of the lack of "gamingness" It is still very playable. I am 16 and have always been a good student at school academically (can't be said for my behaviour...oops). I have never bothered with things like sudoku before but having played through 10% of them they are quite addictive on this game. The brain training is an interesting way of measuring your brains age over the time you've had it. When I started this game 3 days ago I had a brain age of 57, whereas now it is 37. The main downside with this game is that my family have become very competitive over who has the youngest brain age (me) or who can complete sudoku the fastest (my sister) and who can work through the rather addictive maths puzzles (my dad). This really is a fun game for a lot of people I know who have played it. My friend who is normally a sceptic on all things hand held was having a right laugh with this as we tried to do the maths sums together. Overall it is easily worth 18 quid definatly.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Pretty boring
I find this game extremely boring. There are not enough different games on there. I also have the Big Brain Academy and find this one much more fun. Dr Kawashima's Brain Training is slow going. I also find it annoying that quite often it doesn't read the input properly. As the game times how quick one is, it is most annoying that it can't recognise the writing (numbers and letters) well. I don't think I will get a whole month of stamps, I guess it will very quickly appear in the sell it now section.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - I agree with H. Walton
I agree totally with H Walton, I am a 60 year old Nannie, and have bought different hand held (Gameboy, PSP) also Playstations for my grandchildren of various ages over the years and never taken an iota of interest in the games, however this one is totally different. The first time I used it I ended with a brain age of 80! what a shocker that was, after using it once a day for only 5 days my brain age has improved dramatically. The touch screen is easy to use, and no matter how many times you do the same test no results are the same. Excellent for young and oldies (like myself)alike. Look forward to more of this type coming out soon will be so useful on long haul flights.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - The novelty wears off
When I first got this game I thought it was a great idea, and I enjoyed doing it once a day and watching it 'progress', however after time the novelty of this just wore off and working out 20 simple sums as fast as possible just wasn't exciting to do everytime.
I haven't since played any other games similar to this for the DS, I'd rather actually play a 'game' then work out sums!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - A very clever original game
I've never been that into computer/video games but my partner has a nintendo ds and we have this game and i really love it. Its really different to most other games i have seen available and i really do think that it is doing your brain some good!
It uses the touch screen really well, the games/tests are great for getting your brain going, and it gives useful little tips to improve your memory etc....
Im not into fighting or racing games and i really like this game because its really different to everything else and fun too. I would definately recommend it to all ages.
