Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great for all the family!!
Bought as a stocking filler for the whole family to play and it really fits the bill!! We all play from 6 year old to 42 year old, great fun, excellent play and just when you think there is no more, hey, up pops another planet to explore!!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - WOW!
Seriously, if you want an all round brilliant game, buy super mario galaxy! It has all the querks of traditional super mario, but with new features and entirely new worlds to explore. A great game!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Just... awesome
A joy to play. So much fun, and a perfect blend of forgiving, intuitive mechanics and increasingly challenging gameplay. If you own a Wii, it's a must-have - and if you don't, it's worth buying a Wii to play it.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - An excellent reason to buy a Wii
Yeah, yeah, it's another Nintendo masterpiece. It shouldn't surprise anyone anymore. Every single flagship Mario title -ever-* has been lovingly crafted from start to finish, an absolute dream to play. Mario Galaxy is no exception, arriving choc-full of innovation and dreams and other nice things. In fact, as I type my eyes are bleeding from a four hour session. It's a good kind of bleed.

This is the kind of game that anyone should be able to appreciate, even anti-Nintendo sorts who refuse to play anything unless it involves hacking people to bits in a dark alleyway. Galaxy shows exactly what you can do with a Wii, and does so in a completely gimmickless fashion. The difficulty curve is just right too. I completed it without struggling -too- much, but I'm not too sure I have the chops to get each and every star.

So, If you're into a bit of fun, and have no beef with shiny, happy visuals, I urge you to snap this up. Thoroughly satisfying!

*And alright, some people might want to have a whinge about Mario Sunshine not being "innovative" enough. Sod them, it was absolutely brilliant.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Nintendo does it again
Mario is back once again, and this time his adventure is in space. From the word go, this game simply blew me away. There are nods to the earlier Mario Bros. Games. At points in the game, if you have played any of the earlier Mario Games, you will hear and see nods to them.

The game takes the idea that Super Mario 64 had; collecting stars by doing various challenges. But now gives you an extra challenge; instead of working on solid ground, you will be shooting between planets as you search for each of the stars.

Mario also isn't alone in his adventuring, at one point Luigi will appear and at points in the game, will attempt to help Mario out with collecting stars. Only he keeps getting captured and you have to rescue him. Now and again when you switch on your Wii, you will get a message from Mailtoad in Mario Galaxy saying that Luigi has been captured. This is one of my favourite parts of Mario Galaxy, the fact that it will send you messages telling you if Luigi has been captured via the Wii message board.

Mario also gets some bosses to face in Galaxy. Not just Bowser, he is still there, but now there are other bosses you must face and figure out how to beat. There is also an extra challenge given by comets that will appear now and again and give you a task; this can be anything from getting a star in a time limit, or having to face faster enemies.
The power ups are back. Fire Mario makes a welcome return, and he has brought along some other power ups with him to help Mazza out on his adventure. Ranging from Ice Mario all the way to a power-up that you get after you beat the game for the first time. I'm not going to say what it is, otherwise it would spoil the suprise.

I'm only scratching the surface as to what this game has to offer. If I was to tell you any more, I feel it would spoil the whole experience of the game.

In my opinion, Super Mario Galaxy is not only Mario's biggest adventure to date, but the Wii's best game so far. This is one game that really shows just how powerful the Wii is. The only downside to this game is that at one point it will have to end. But you will love every single second you play it
