Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Pretty good for the price, not a gimmick like i thought
This powerball is actually pretty cool, it does excercise your forearm and definately your hand to some extent although i remain skeptical as to it being able to excercise the bicep and pectoral muscles (as shown in the little minidisc that accompanies this powerball version), this along with some captains of crush grippers will definately help improve hand strength. I originally thought this was another gimmicky fitness thing of which there are so many... but i think i was wrong this time, its definately got its uses. For low-average strength people this powerball should suffice, for strong people they should look into the metal 350hz version. Its pretty addictive, ive picked it up randomly a few times today, my hands are all sore now though so id better leave it alone until tomorrow :p

Overall im pleased with this product, once you figure out how to work it its easy from there, this version came with a clip on strap that can go around your wrist in case you are worried about dropping it and having it fly through your television or whatever.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - It works, it lights up but its boring
Far too much marketing hype, it is well made, it has a nice weight and it is clever. After a couple of attemps I made it spin OK and light up and it certainly look pretty but after a few days and a few attempts its just very boring. Sure with practice I could get it to spin faster much faster but you look like a nerd to anyone else. Of course it makes your wrists ache, I have no doubt it will improve hand and wrist strength but I think it has a short span of interest. Sorry to say that if you a PowerBall enthusiast but thats just my view a rather boring gadget

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Powerball Pro Signature
When i read about the Powerball and watched a few of the videos i couldn't wait to receive it. In truth the gimmick of it does wear off after a few goes, and you will be surprised how many of your friends will have trouble getting it to do anything! I find that amongst the guys at a party it can be a good laugh for a few minutes as everyone tries to outdo one another. I think that your money could be better spent elsewhere if you intend on using this as a strength builder and as part of an exercise routine i'm sceptical about the benefits. Shame it's not a bit cheaper as i would have gave it more stars. Unfortunately most of the cheaper models do not have the score counter, which nullifies the competition element. The only real reason to buy one!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Awesomely addictive
I can't begin to say how great this product is, it has so many different techniques for building up wrist strength, bicep strength, pectoral strength and the health benefits like RSI.
I tried it out for so long when I got it I took a bit of skin off of my finger! but stuck a plaster on and in the first hour and a half I reached a speed of 10131.

If you stick at it when you recieve it you will easily get the technique wrist movement and will be able to start it spinning with your thumb.
You get 3 starter strings so that should last you until you get the hang to using your thumb.

The noise it makes is nothing when your on your own as your dont really notice it and it is a good indictor of how fast your going when it gets more high pitched and louder (with the cool light getting brighter).
When your in a room with others they'll just look at you, too facinated by the lights to tell you to naff off!

All in all its great fun and addictive and with the benefits of increasing strength/rehabilitation, you can use it anywhere while reading a book, watching TV, running etc.

Oh and its good to use the wrist string until you can get the hang of the spin because if you drop it at high speeds it WILL go through the wall!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Cool
I bought this product a few days ago to see what all the fuss was about. It's quite fun once you become proficient at starting the ball every time. The initial attempts often result in a few stallings but now using it after a few days, the muscles in my arms seemed to have become harder. Without doubt, a purchase I am proud of!
