Rating: - Volume cap is frustrating
I bought this a couple of weeks ago as a replacement for a 1GL nano, and it is a marvel with one exception. It is too quiet because of the EU volume cap. A friend has an identical model sourced from the US and the volume of mine seems to be about 50%. I recommend purchasing from the US. I should say that I don't like my music loud - I like acoustic and classical music - but on public transport, or for quiter music, it can be frustrating.

Rating: - Pretty Good
Purcahsed to replace my ageing mini, which still works fine. Overall Im pleased with my purchase, looks, design and interface are as youd expect - v good! Music quality is pretty good, providing you upgrade your headphones. One complaint, Ive used it, fairly carefully, for the last two weeks and scratches are already appearing on the metal back, Apple need to sort the accessories out PDQ! Battery life seems as claimed so far and the screen looks good.

All in a nice piece kit- if youre after a well designed, small (very) player to carry upto 8GB of you fav media then you wont go far wrong with this.

I had an old 5G iPod Video and never really used the whole 80gig storage. Then I saw the advertisments for the new Nano. It looked perfect, and it really is. On this baby, you can fit 2000 songs, 7,000 photos, 8 hours of video or a combination of each.

When you first see it the size strikes you like lightning! It is incredibly small to say the stuff you can fit on, and very thin too. You probably have a size in your mind, and yeah, so did I, but when you really see it, when you hold it, its smaller and sleeker than ever.

The songs are very clear, the sound is great, and iTunes includes gapless playback so that there's no long gaps between one song ending and the next starting. You get album artwork and can adjust the name, artist etc by opening iTunes and editing.

The photos are very clear and sharp. The screen is only 2" but the iPod and photos work really well together to give you great slideshows with music in the background - music of your choice.

And finally, the video - the biggest thing to hit the Nano! You can fit 8 hours of TV, movies, etc on this little beauty, and thats 30 episodes of a standard 20-minute long show, such as Pimp My Ride, available from the iTunes Store.

I give it 5 stars because its so good if you want an iPod, you want video, photos and of course songs, but you dont want something to big or bulky like the classic. It fits perfectly in your pocket and is now game - friendly.

A fantastic buy, I have had no problems.. so far! Really good.

Firstly, if this i-pod works fine for you then it deserves it's 5-star rating, or at least a 4 if your concerned about the lack of case!

The i-pod looks great, feels great and the screen is a lot bigger and better than the previous nano's.

I won't waste your time here with everything else mentioned in all the other reviews though.. why only 3 stars?

The i-pod seems to have a problem connecting and synching to i-tunes, im not sure how popular this problem is in comparison to other i-pods, but i for one am having it! (old i-pods still work fine)

I do recomend this i-pod, as i said if it works i'd give it 5 stars and never look back, and if you're prepared to send it back if it doesnt work then go for it!
