Rating: - Do not buy this absolutly useless machine!
The Tefal Quick-cup is the biggest waste of space ever!

The water is only ever luke warm at best and therefore any coffee or tea you make will be utterly un-drinkable.

If you do insist on buying this product, then please ensure you have enough space at the very back of your cupboard for it, and enough money left over to buy a propper kettle!

Rating: - Design flaw
What this product needs is a user-variable thermostat so that those who wish to make tea - surely the majority? - and instant soup can set it to 'boil' and those for coffee can choose 'coffee' (ie, the temperature it produces now). Without at least the option to boil it's so limited it's a waste of money. Then there's the noise... Finally, the filter should be good for at least 150 litres: ignore any advise to replace every month unless you fill it that much (ie, c 40 fills a week). Tefal should produce a filter that's good for 200 litres: these are available for some standard cold-water worktop filters.

A poor result, Tefal!

Rating: - Please don't waste your money on one of these
I bought one of these. I was pleased with it at first. Thankfully, I read the warnings on here about the jug leaking before switching it on again today. Mine had a lovely pool of water in the bottom of the base. Obviously electricity and water are not a good combination.
Also, the cartridges cost a fiver a time which really negates the money saved on electricity.
I would recommend purchasing a proper kettle.

Rating: - I hope this one works better than the last two!
I am now on my 3rd Tefal 'Quick Cup'. The last two machines I owned just gave up producing hot water. After the 1st one, I took it back and swapped it for a new one, but within a couple of months, this also stopped giving out hot water. Then I got a refund.

However, I missed it so much, that I just bought another one. Why? Because while it's working, it's just the greatest thing IF, like me, you mainly drink green tea or fruit teas, which aren't supposed to be made with boiling water.

I use a kettle if I want to make normal (black) tea, because that requires boiling water, which you will not get from the 'Quick Cup'. If this latest machine I've bought packs in again, I will NOT be buying another one!

Rating: - Great for a cup of tea now, instead of 20 minutes
I've had this kettle for 8 months now, I love it. I hate making a cup of tea and waiting 20 minutes for it to cool before i can even touch it, when you want a cup of tea you want it now. This is perfect for that, I don't find the hot instead of boiling water a problem with the tea's taste. Granted everyone is different.

I wouldn't recommend this however for a large or even normal family, perfect for couples who don't need to boil large amounts of water.
