This is the old version with updated software and maps. There's a new version of the unit on eBuyer. The Turbodog software that comes with the Navigo is pretty poor. It fails to recognise postcodes correctly, suggests bizarre routes and tells you about turns onto slip roads just as you're passing them. Most people seem to buy them because they run Windows CE and you can load TomTom Navigator or whatever else you can get hold of and run that. But if you have to go out and buy the TomTom software, you might as well buy a TomTom unit to start with. The multimedia features may be nice, but it needs to be a useable GPS first.

Rating: - The Navigo GPS
Navigo GPS SAt Nav was a great price. It worked for a couple of Journeys then it incurred a fatal error and I could not get into the navigation page. It was then returned and replaced but 3 weeks later the same error occured , this time i returned the item and got a refund. Don't know if I was just unlucky but would not have a 3rd!

Rating: - Good but lacking
This product is really good and value for money. It does all the above as it claims and the other reviewers comments are also accurate. However, the drawback seems to be in updating the maps. The link provided on the software CD is broken and leads to the Chinese manufacturer's site. Closer examination of the site reveals comments by various buyers asking for instructions on how to update the maps. No responses seem to be provided!

If the maps were updatable (easily or otherwise), this would have received 5 stars.

Rating: - Alec GPS
The Navigo 855 GPS is really an amazing instrument with many additional features besides the standard GPS Navigation. I compared the routes with Google Maps and the routes are the same and distance-time parameters match too. Compared to the TomTom One & RAC200, the speeds and the accuracy match.

I would recommend this product to everybody who doesn't want to waste money on brand names like TomTom etc. Speed camera locations are missing, but than you can download it from the internet as points of interest.

The other features like MP3 player & Video player are an absolute gem considering you can pick this model up for less than £70.00 inc. nowadays. In short an absolute bargain and certainly gives the more expensive brands a run for their money
