Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT
BEWARE Cisco (linksys) have produced at product that will not support many of its supposed functions, including DCHP over WPA2, AP isolation, peer to peer networks, Radius Server setups, multiple Wireless clients, mixed wired and wireless setups. There is a firmware patch being worked on for release "early 2009" acording to Cisco via the business support network but not according to Linksys who deal with home users! and its £34 from Tesco

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - WAG160N wireless does not work
This is a great looking router and its wired functions works very well indeed. However, it is a wireless router, and that is the bit that does not work. All the following comments refer to wireless clients only. The DHCP server will frequently fail to allocate an IP address when the client restarts. Result - no network connection until a router reboot. Secondly, if you allocate a fixed IP address to get round that problem, file and printer sharing does not work - clients cannot see each other.
The Linksys forums have lots of comments on this but Linksys has been totally silent on indicating whether they intend to fix the problem. What is more, as users become more frustrated and criticise the product, they delete the forum posts.
If you do not need wireless, then save some money and get a wired-only router. If you want wireless, this router will let you down.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Poor showing from Linksys
This router works really well unless you want to go wireless. It connects solidly to my adsl line, providing a solid connection to the internet for the computers close enough to be connected by 100mb ethernet cable. Unfortunately, the wireless connection to either my 54G bridge or standalone client adapters either has trouble connecting or frequently drops, requiring a router reboot. I swapped back to the free D-link router which came with my broadband contract, and that works solidly.

WAG160N Firmware (v1.09) is slated by the forums to be an issue, but either way, there has been no update from linksys for 6 months. Many disgruntled customers on the Linksys community forums. If it worked better, the looks, speed and control of firewall settings would make this router a clear winner.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Lack of on/off switch the only drawback!
I've been using this router for around two months now with no problems at all. Set up was easy, range (on draft n) is excellent and the unit has a great design with no aerials sticking up in the air. My only criticism is that the unit does not have a mains on/off switch and so you have to unplug it to switch it off. It also gets quite hot underneath! Other than those small gripes - a great router.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Not the best router out there...
I bought this router about 6 weeks ago to replace a fairly reliable, although much older Linksys router.

Whilst it is very simple to set up and looks good (a rare thing with routers!), I have suffered similar problems to others who have reviewed this - it will lose the wireless signal every so often, requiring it to be turned off, then on again.

Perhaps there has been a bad batch of these as other reviewers seem to have not had any problems, but personally, I would think twice before buying one of these.
