Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Amazing season so far
A lot of fans got pissed due to all the new characters they lost sight that this is clearly a great season. The creators clearly had a rough gig with the writers strike so they hammered out these fine episodes to wet our appitites and wanting more by bombarding us with questions. Dont fear the creators intend on delivering on this perplexing second season and you may find that the new characters you hate maybe your new favorites in the following seasons. So lets all hope that they dont have another strike.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Would have been AMAZING
Sadly because of the Writers Strike hitting and the producers of the show not being smart enough to just put season 2 on hold and continue as originaly planned, Heroes season 2 isn't as good as the first. But knowing that only the last 5 minutes of episode 11 were changed.

Originally the virus was supposed to break out at the end of episode 11. Had this happened I don't doubt season 2 would have been better than the first, but season 2 is still a good watch, though no where near what it could have been.

I'll still be buying it.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Volume 2 - Generations... What Is Everyone's Problem?
I understand that people are annoyed by the Writer's Strike ripping our favourite show from 24 episodes to a mere 11. But what I don't understand is why this series has been slammed by critics.
This series has a DIFFERENT feel to it than the first series - and I think that's good! It's great we can get such a variety through Tim Kring's use of volumes within seasons. All of these critics seem to be frightened of change. And if they are all so annoyed about the shortened series being "rubbish", then maybe they should direct their anger to the real source of this shortened series. The Writer's Strike.
Anyway, I think the volume provides an interesting insight into the last generation of Heroes, the Company and the Shanti virus. The stories build up the themes and ideas well until episode eight, "Four Months Ago. This excellent episode reveals what happened in the four month gap between the end of "Genesis" (Season 1) and the beginning of "Generations" (Season 2). After this episode the remaining three are all action and culminate in a huge finale with a ridiculously amazing lead into the next volume, "Villains". I'm sure even the critics drooled when they saw the beginning of the new volume. I just hope Season 3 will shoot back up to the critics' standards.
All in all, this was an excellent season and I will definetely be buying this. If you are reading this and wondering whether you should buy it or not, ignore the critics and just buy it because it is truly awesome!

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Series 2 disappointing
Mildly entertaining but way, way overated. Admittedly there are some excellent scenes, but there are too many pretty awful ones with corny dialogue and acting that spoil the whole. Some of the hero characters I like, but too many have no depth or appeal about them (especially the new ones introduced in Series 2) - perhaps they are going to be developed over the next few series, but am I bothered? I liked Sylar in Series 1, but at the end of Series 2, I was left wondering, can he bring anything new to the third Series?
At the end of the day this is entertainemnt for big kids really, and that's ok, but I wouldn't kid myself that there's anything deeply philosophical here.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Volume 2: Eleven weeks
I absolutely loved season one of Heroes; it was exciting, dramatic, emotional, and great! But the second season lost a certain element that made the first season so great!
I'm gonna say it's probably because of the writer's strike that caused it.
However, the season was still absolutely great and a must-own.
There are only eleven episodes and it only seems to get going and then it's the finale, but great anyhow!
