Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Tiesto at his prime
Tracks one by one that keep on getting better. Excellent to drive with in the early morning watching the sun rising enjoying the breeze.

Worth getting in your library of CDs or Ipod.

5*****

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Another Tiesto Masterpiece!
Absolutely terrific. He's done it again. I love the way the music becomes part of you. You don't just hear Tiesto, you feel Tiesto

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The excellence is in the mixing
I don't like every song on this album. Infact, I can probably say this for #7 more so than #5 or #6 (I don't own #1-#4). However, I have nothing but admiration for the way Tiesto mixes the songs, as I have mentioned on previos ISoS albums. This is no exception - the choice of songs, and the order on which they appear is just true brilliance, in my opinion.
In short, cd01 is more vocal, 'housey,' and could be classed as cheesy, even though using the phrase 'cheesy' is cheesier than any music can be. I don't think it is, there are some good songs here that really do allow you to drift away with the sunshine and the associated connotations of a beach party, etc.
Cd02 is very much more progressive and trancey, partiuclarly at the end. This suits me better due to my personal tastes, and I actually think this is the most progressive I've heard on the ISoS series so far. But again, you have to listen to this album all the way through to fully capture the meaning and effort that Tiesto has put into this album, which is exceptional.
If you want a quality album and a diverse electronic and very hot, emotional and summer-club experience, then a quick purchase of this album will satisfy your needs. Then go and buy #5 and #6, and probably the others preceeding that as well!!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Need help in choosing a trance compilation? Your search is now over!
Here we are again, at the mercy of another unfaultering double compilation from Tiesto. The ISOS Collections have to be my all round absolute favourite dance/trance compilations of all time. For anyone out there reading this review in need of a little advice, and help with the hundreds of thousands compilations for trance out there. Then look no further, just buy anyone of ISOS volumes. If you are interested in the diversity that trance music has to offer, I can't think of another collection series that gives you such a broad scope on what is so stereotypically thought of as a boring genre of music. People who normally detest trance after hearing the chart cheese, hear these compilations and suddenly think. "wow! This is actually really good! What is this??" I've converted many of my mates to ISOS fans, it's not hard.

Now ISOS collections are all about a journey through music. Since number 4. Tiesto has taken inspiration from places he's toured, and used that to build his compilations, and give each volume a distict sound, and feel. We now have his Asia collection, which was recorded out in Thailand.

I can't choose my favourite ISOS, but the beginning of disc one is without a doubt the best intro to a ISOS ever. It's just beautiful, you can so easily picture yourself with the waves crashing and feel the heat of the sun beating on your chest!!

Disc one is more about the vocal side of trance. It's more chilled, and is perfect beach music. Just picture yourself lounging in the sun soaking up some rays, and drinking a cold beer. That's when you'll just feel like you're in heaven with this in the backround. The interchange between tracks on both discs is flawless as usual, and like ISOS's you must listen to the whole of each disc to really appeciate the compilation more. After a few listens you really begin to admire how well put together and arranged the tracks are. This is why I admire Tiesto more than any other Dj. His collections are usually more interesting and varied to other trance Dj's (I'm sure someone out there will disagree, but that's my opinion).

Anyway. Disc two is the harder, and more instrumentally orientated. This is perfect to play when getting ready to head out for a night out, or for when trainning at the gym.

Both discs are equally good, you'll happily listen to either one. Most of the time though your mood will find you reaching for one or the other, depending if you're relaxed or energised. I could go on and rate every track individually, but ISOS isn't about that. Just sit back and let Tiesto take on a journey though the world of vocal, and progressive trance. You'll come out enlightened, and hopefully a fan of this amazing collection. If you like this one, my advise is to buy the rest. They're all amazing.

Here's to number 8, and lets hope they keep coming long after that!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - I LIKE !
Good solid offering by Tiesto. Very few weak tracks although Disc 1 is far better than 2 in my opinion. The best all round of the 'In Search Of Sunrise' Series so far.
