Bought this monitor with the main purpose of using it as an external display for my Macbook Pro, (I should of done my research first) as I soon found out that there is no support for a 1920 x 1200 res from a Mac with this display, I could get a picture using third party software but it was never that good. I was set to return the monitor until I plugged my Xbox 360 into it - I changed my mind.

I have never seen the Xbox 360 look so good, I have played on a number of different displays of all sizes and technologies but this Samsung is the best I've seen. I have always used the VGA cables from my 360 (much better than component in my opinion) and do so with this monitor too, with the Xbox VGA cables set to 1920 x 1080 and the reference levels set to expanded the result is simply stunning. The colours are bright and vibrant, with lots of nice contrast, the image is also very crisp.
So far I have played PGR4, Assassin's Creed, BF:BF, Forza 2 and Deadspace and have been more than impressed with every single one, the resolution is very nice on all with no hint of ghosting.

This display also looks just as good off as it does on, a very nice sleek design with the hint of red along the bottom is very cool. There is also a piece of plastic that clips on the back to keep all your connections and wires looking tidy.

Overall, a beautiful display.

I had been looking for a TV/Monitor for some time at the right price and I'm delighted with my new Samsung T200HD Syncmaster,although it did state 20000:1 contrast ratio but when received it was only 10:000:1. I was tempted to send it back but once i got it out the box and hooked it up i was vey impressed with the picture quality, freeview and breath taken looks.I haven't hooked it to hd player hoping to get an xbox 360 for crimbo.

I resived my monitor today so i didnt have the time to look in every detail but one thing is bothering me the contrast ratio is 10000:1 as written in the monitor box and in the monitor it self but here in amazon its shows that the monitor has 20000:1 so i think amazon should make sure of the info they give about their goods .

Rating: - Great value for a huge (in size) and very good screen
Initially I got shock about the size, my flat mate has a 20' one, and I thought it would be a bit bigger (big mistake :) Colours are great, brightness and contrast perhaps to much, but you can reduce it.
The only problem is that you can't change the heigh, a part from that, is screen is just look awesome, not only in image quality but also the looks.

I was looking for a LCD monitor which can be used as a TV. After lots of research, I found that this monitor comes with TV tuner with excellent contrast ratio and multiple input sockets. Also looks of this monitor is great. I can plan Xbox and Wii on it. I can see Freeview channels. I can do many things.. No need to fight to watch footy and movie at the same time. :)
Just buy it :)
