By now you probably know if you like the x-files or not, if you haven't seen it yet then start at season one (logically). Season three was when Carter 'took it up a notch', there is more emphasis on the governments dodgy dealings and their connection to an alien conspiracy, this storyline carries throughout all nine seasons (and a film) and has a lot of roots in season 3.

There is a fair number of stand alone episodes to boot, but I found myself wishing more and more for the ongoing storyline about Mulder and his attempts to find the truth, but that's my preference. I'd probably give most of the seasons 5 stars, they do decline a bit around season seven, but essentially I find the X-files more enjoyable, thrilling and spooky than ... Read More:
