After a "no answers" movie and an increasing shift towards that incomprehensible conspiracy arc, I'm not sure what's so bad about The X-Files becoming a lighter show. After all, fans should know by now that the series isn't going to stop and politely spell it all out. Well actually, in season six, it kind of does. The two parter, Two Fathers/One Son sums up pretty quickly a lot of tediously confusing concepts. It's summed up two or three times actually. To have loose ends finally tied up feels very gratifying.

And yes, season six has a lot of comedy. Most of it works (two parter Dreamland is unmissable, Arcadia is wryly funny, and The Unnatural is sweet), even if it does point to the show running out of ideas. Hence Biogenesis spreading ... Read More:
