Although the aspect indicates an unorthadox ratio, other than 185 Widescreen & 235 Letterbox, when the BBC recently broadcast this film, it was a 16 X 7 Letterbox crop of the 16 X 12 Video, which means that *71% was UNNECESSARILY, EXCESSIVELY & VICIOUSLY CROPPED from the, 4.3/16.12, version.
NB. On all previous occassions the BBC had broadcast the 4 X 3 video version of the film.
All of which leads me to conclude that on occasions, TV broadcasters are, obtaining/ordering/being sent, the DVD version of films; if that is the case in relation to this film then if you purchase the DVD then what you will get is the Video version with *71% UNNECESSARILY, EXCESSIVELY & VICIOUSLY CROPPED from it.
