I'm astonished that Canon ever let this one out on the open market as it's a truly awful design. It's fiddly to use and feels awkward and uncomfortable. I don't know how much of this is because I'm a lefty, but it does seem very clumsy. It's very bulky, and makes it difficult to compose whilst in place. The raised corner meaning that you can't remove the CF card is just plain bad design. Obviously you can't really use it with anything longer than the supplied 18-55 and using a battery grip with it is out of the question. It's reasonably well made, but you can do a lot better.
