Running an Executive Coaching practice, where I have personally delivered thousands of hours of coaching, I approached this book with a healthy scepticism. Was this a book where as many people as possible submitted their names so that they quickly could claim to be `an author'? (I say this with my opinion informed as author of The Coaching Parent). In fact, and the reader will form his own opinion, I believe that for at least 80% of the work this is not the case and either new, or refreshed material is offered. I have annotated significant amounts of the text and found it an excellent product overall. Highlights - having seen Grant in London, I found his piece on Solution-focused coaching worthwhile. Also it was great to hear the thoughts ... Read More:

This book provides a well set out approach to coaching successfully. It covers all the key points you will need. Including the GROW model of coaching and models of change which is a useful feature. The layout is clear and enables the reader to quickly absorb the content.

The books strength is that it draws on the positive solutions approach, to enhance the coaching process. It is a good buy and compares well to the large number of coaching books on the market.

Another book to consider is the - The solutions approach, making coaching and change simple.

As an NLP Practitioner and Life Coach I have read a great many books on coaching and personal change and this is a book that really grabbed my attention... It is jam-packed with solid and sound advice, information and exercises that if practiced could genuinely help you make some real and significant change.

There is plenty of information on the processes and stages of change as well as a concise personal change programme at the end of the book that distills all of the previous chapters into a highly workable self-coaching model.

I highly recommend this book - 5 stars!

This book was a compelling read. It made good practical sense out of a topic that other books turn into some kind of black art. I enjoyed it and, like other reviewers, find my self dipping back into it regularly.

Books : The Rough Guide to New England (Rough Guide Travel Guides)
I cannot fault this book, certainly for a first time vist to Boston and New England in general it is essential.
This edition has been upgraded considerably since I first bought a R G to the area and it really is all you will need for a successful trip. It is now much thicker and features maps and photographs as well as the other classic Rough Guide strong points like arrival and orientation facts.
Upon arrival at Logan International airport we did exactly as the guide suggested and had a good value chaffeured car waiting for us so avoiding taxi queues or the rigours of public transport. It is also strong as usual on transport throughout as well as restaurants, hotels, hostels and bars.
We really liked the way the book gave you a feel ... Read More:

This novel is a must for lovers of Italy! A frothy Cappuccino, with several shots of strong Espresso; a wonderful blend of love, war, food and the strength of the human spirit. A young British officer, James Gould arrives in Naples in 1943 with the job of vetting all applications for marriage between local girls and British personnel. The majority of the matches are totally unsuitable and the very 'upright' James intends to do everything by the rule book. But .... this is Italy, and Italy has a way of changing people's perspectives; rules are made to be broken, and what happens when the Wedding Officer himself falls in love! This is all set against the background of occupation, with the Germans now occupying the North, whilst the British and Americans ... Read More:
