Only that it's good, has clear mapping and lots of detailed information. It has a ring binding, which I like as this enables you to keep the book open at the desired page without damaging it. It also has a complete index of towns and villages at the back, and each of the city centre maps has its own street index - very useful. Not to mention the small scale route planning map and the map of administrative departments. What more could you need? And it's just about small enough to fit in your glove compartment. So if it seems a little heavy, unwieldy and difficult to navigate at times, well, France is a lot bigger than England.

I won't go into too much detail of the content of the atlas as the previous review has done that excellently. What I would like to say though is that having used this atlas it is actually much more than just a road map. It has so many places of interest and things to do in it that it could be the only book you need to plan your trip. I would really recommend finding places to go from this atlas and avoiding the large crowds at the places listed in travel guides. Obviously this is also an ideal road map for if you driving on your holiday and has plans of many major cities (and smaller ones). Get yourself this Atlas and save the trouble os getting a travel guide too. You won't be disappointed by this.

What set this 'AA' version apart from the others for me was the 'free magnetic tax disc holder' offered with the deal, however on arrival the addition was missing and there was a clear sticky trace where it had once sat. I have contacted Amazon and hopefully the replacement they are sending will include the tax disc holder, however it is not impressive how these 'free gifts' are obviously not protected from removal prior to shipping. The atlas itself is very clear and easy-to-use. I cannot raise fault with the product, just the service itself.

Grand big map. Its a balance between not being to small and to big. Its good as a back up to the sat nav. Incase some plonker steals the sat nav

If you want to pass through France quickly on the motorways, then this is the map book for you. It's large scale makes the motorways standout (combined with the fact that its motorways are in blue/purple - I hate map books which have yellow motorways). Unfortunately what also makes the motorways standout is the fact that this map book is totally uncluttered by such things as smaller roads and villages. Stray off the motorways and you soon find yourselves in large open areas devoid of roads. There we were, in the middle of no-where, at a cross roads. Do we turn left. Do we turn right. Most disappointing. Very little information for the tourist. Maps terrible. Very few refreshment establishments mentioned for each area. Sorry, this is the worst guide book I have ever bought.
