Poor book , well researched but thats all it is , research.
Not as in-depth as what the other "real" key members of the Essex boys have written. Not the best book on the subject imo. Best taken with a pinch of salt.

I would like to reassure everybody who is able to read one particular `review` about this book (red - farther etc...) that unlike his star struck son, Big Lewies story does not rely on innuendo and fantasy. He has fought long and hard for the respect he is quite rightly given and it is a sad day when one of his own sets out to betray him and lie in order to fulfil their own deluded visions of grandeur. Shame on those too who are providing that person with the oxygen to insult and demean his own Father. They claim to be friends but the evidence suggests otherwise. For those of you fortunate enough never to have visited Manae, all I can suggest is you conjour up an image of half a dozen houses, a local shop and fields and fields and fields. Quite ... I don't believe Bernard O'Mahoney is an angel, but he certainly makes a great author.

His prose is sardonic and to the point, sometimes very funny. The stuff about Dave Courtney had me howling with laughter. I also remember the TV programme Wimps to Warriors and all agreed at work the following day, that Courtney acted and dressed like something out of a comedy act.

That said, it's a pretty sad fact some impressionable youngsters take such fakes seriously and then try to emulate them with such appalling consequences.

This is reminiscent of the legend of Damocles. Who constantly flattered Dionysius, the King of Syracuse, admiring his position of prestige and power which he wanted to attain. So Dionysius ... Read More:

A genuine page turner, powerful and engaging. Cogently describes why hate can destory lives. Why people should try to rise above it.

A lot of authors who have lived on the wrong side of the law, when they come to write their life stories are narcissitic pratts, they paint themselves as being the sharpest card in the pack. O'Mahnoney isn't one of them. Instead he's open, candid and honest. He paints things as they are. Sometimes quite graphically.

The descriptions of Copeland are fair and unflattering. People would have sympathy for him, if hadn't embarked on his bombing spree. Instead he let his anger control his life and subsequently destroy his life and many others. There is no justification for what he did.

This true crime book is different from any other that I have read because the author, at his own frank admission, worked to help set free Michelle and Lisa Taylor in the belief that they were innocent. The author reveals the methods used by supporters of the sisters to cast doubt over their convictions and shows how easily the British media can be manipulated. The reader is lead through the months following the girls' release and the author's sudden realisation of their guilt. No wonder the Taylor family tried to block the publishing of this book! However it must be remembered that this is purely the author's version of the events from which you are invited to draw your own conclusion.
Mr O'Mahoney's style of writing is informal and the whole book ... Read More:

Being Female i didn't think this Book was for me but i bought and read it anyway, i'm glad i did.
The Author Bernard O'Mahoney gives us a revealing and painful account of his childhood that was to change his life to his time spent serving in Northern Ireland as a British Soldier, a brutal and often disturbing read often broke by o'mahoney's welcome humour, i just hated to put it down..an Excellent read not to be missed.

Books : The Dream Solution: The Murder of Alison Shaughnessy - And the Fight to Name Her Killer
Alison had been stabbed 54 times during a frenzied attack in her own home. At their sensational trial the prosecution alleged that 21-year-old Michelle Taylor who had been having an affair with Alison's husband - had murdered Alison in a jealous rage and that she was aided in her brutal attack by her 18-year-old sister Lisa.

The case was reported in the tabloid press under lurid headlines such as Love Crazy Mistress Butchered Rival Wife. The jury found the Taylor sisters guilty of murder Incredibly, having served less than one year of their sentences, the Taylor sisters were freed thanks in part to a exhaustive campaign by Bernard O'Mahoney

Bernard, having witnessed their trial, was convinced that a major miscarriage of justice had occurred and ... Read More:
