I guess the heading says it all. Take away the sex and the drama, and there would be nothing left but Crawford the great actress, which I think I hilight on any page. And, Sheila in Bradford, anyone who condones the dreadful ways in which Maria Riva and Christina Crawford trashed their own mothers cannot be a good person to know. What is important of course is that long after these nasty, ungrateful daughters are in their graves, the lodestars of Dietrich and Crawford will still be burning brightly in the heavens. THIS was the reason for my book.

Isnt this sort of thing against the law? endless pages of salacious gossip, no sources to corroborate any of the 'new' revelations and on top of all that just plain badly written. I can't think of one thing to recommend about this book. Flynn died in 1959 so there are enough good books out there which adhere to the truth (not least his own autobiograhy which is at times embarrasingly honest)

As is so often the case with Marylin Monroe this book falls into the 'everyone is dead now so i can say anything i want' category. how is it that the man has been dead 50 years and we're supposed to believe that 'new' information is still being brought to the surface? by whom? any adult who knew flynn before his death would be in their 80s by now. That doesnt seem ... Read More:

Silly people, even sillier names, bad reviews. It is an undisputable fact that people with small lives place people of importance on pedestals. They perceive them the way they think they should be; they dream that if they meet these icons, that the objects will fawn over them. WRONG!!!! It is also an indisputable fact that Morrissey gags when these people force themselves upon him. Ugly, pasty-looking geeks, giggly Oriental girls, bespectacled youths who listen to his records whilst masturbating. Then of course there are the 1 in 10 normal fans who never go to the concerts because they do not wish to associate with this neurasthenic element, fans like myself who remain the silent majority and who in doing so are looked upon with favour rather than derision. Morrissey ... Read More:
