This text book was recommended to me by my history teacher and it has been very useful as i have covered the 2nd yr of the Italian Unit. All the important aspects of Mussolini's dictatorship are covered well in this book, particularly the economy which i feel can be a difficult area to understand. I would definately recommend it as a course aid and a good basis for revision, it's well worth the money.

I have to disagree with the previous reviewer. This book is not "long-winded", rather I think it provides students with an excellent background to the subject. This is some of the most engaging history writing I have read.

Although it won't all be relevant to your topic, I suggest you buy it as it has everything you need for your topic, plus some interesting information on other aspects of history. I also use these books for other subjects, and have found them all as brilliant. The layout makes it easy to follow, and is brilliant for checking words you don't understand in documents, as well as helping with research for homework.
