1.Reich of the Black Sun: Nazi Secret Weapons and the Cold War Allied Legend by: J.P. Farrell

Books : Reich of the Black Sun: Nazi Secret Weapons and the Cold War Allied Legend
Off The Bookshelf's Price: £13.99

Used Price: £5.05

I initially bought this book as reference material for a novel I was writing on Nazi scientific developments and found myself caught up in the very well presented 'conspiracy theory' that the Nazis had developed (and even tested!) an atom bomb ahead of the Americans in World War II.

The theory that General Patton had rushed ahead of US Army orders to capture the science behind this bomb, and might indeed have been assassinated to protect this secret, is also well presented.

Whether or not this book is a factual account of Nazi secret weapons development, or merely an elaborate mixture of fact and fiction is irrelevant to it being a very interesting read - even if you believe it or not, and I recommend it on that basis.
