I remember reading this book around the same time I read Rich Dad Poor Dad. It was a very heavy read - far too much to digest in one round. Worth reading, but it took an enormous amount of concentration - not one to read on the tube.

I loved this book. Ester and Jerry Hicks are a married couple who work together to give the world the wisdom of Abraham, spirit guides that Ester channels. Jerry poses the questions and Ester channels Abraham's answers. Abraham reveals that there are three universal laws which are all based on the belief that our thoughts create our reality. One of the laws I related to in particular was that of "intention". This law says our thoughts, combined with our emotions, have the power to affect our environment. This means we can choose to truly assist and uplift each other. The Hicks couple spread - when correctly understood and hopefully put in the Christian prospective which is at the root of all these teachings, as the very title of the original book shows - a beautiful message. Still, they keep cooking the same soup again and again, as this books also shows. By far the best books is, in my eyes, the first one: "Ask and it is given". The subsequents books are all expansion on the original theme, they do not add anything but do cost additional money. This one is, in my eyes, less useful than others "additions" to the original books like "The power of Attraction".
