I have to disagree with the review listed as I have struggled and struggled with this book which just leaps about everywhere with little or no explanation of what and why. The first 130+ pages show little unconnected fairly useless snippets on how to use freehand and a little fireworks to create the rough drawing of your site. For example, pages 85 - 89 explain how to "use the Freehand MX Connector Tool" to show connections between database schema. The Note on page 89 then says "Do not use the connect tool for database schemas"! You will pick up a couple of snippets on how to do things but the way the book jumps around doing half a job means you quickly forget it! Don't buy this book - buy the "Dreamweaver MX 2004 with asp, coldfusion, ... Read More:

As a skilled programmer but very new to Flash I found this book poor and full of errors. I'm only half way through and have found errors which would have caused most people to simply give up. I will probably write off the book and buy something else. I have spent hours tracking down errors and coping with errors in the text. Some sentences don't even make grammatical sense! The logic of the book is confusing, it does not seem to be showing me anything about flash, just confusing things!
