How can any author of a book of walks choose, as he does continually, "..about 7 minutes along the path..." when he could have said "500 metres" (another fantastic example is "...about 33 minutes from the beach..."), or say " ..to pass some of the island's few cows.." does he not realise that cows move? We also found many of his descriptions of scenes unrecognisable. By all means go to Symi and walk this beautiful island, but do get a decent book, or better still go walking with a guide based on the island, like Hugo.
