I bought this book and All You Need to Know About the City (All You Need to Know Guides) by Christopher Stoakes, and I would say the latter is better for beginners and the former moves the pace up a gear or two. The City:A Guide to London's Global Financial Centre (Economist)covers all the key historical financial events, analyses them, and explains why the happened clearly and concise. It's well worth reading, but I would advise people to read All You Need to Know About the City (All You Need to Know Guides)first. Hope this helps.

I bought this book and All You Need to Know About the City (All You Need to Know Guides) by Christopher Stoakes, and I would say the latter is better for beginners and the former moves the pace up a gear or two. This is not an annual in the true sense of the word (No quizes, wordsearches or short stories). There is an awful lot of very small writing in this storybook and a comic strip, so it probably best you don't give this to younger child. Older children (and adults) will love this book though.

I agree with the previous reviewer. However if you're thinking of doing your own conveyancing this is a good reference and answers a lot of questions that you might have having downloaded a law pack. This book is really intended for law students. For simple freehold selling a monkey could do the conveyancing so don't be put off by solicitors who might treat you with a little disdain.

This set of books is ideal for Physics students at University and beyond but it might also help younger students because of the easy conversational style and the many descriptive passages that sum up each topic before the maths comes in. It really does feel like an older brother helping you get up to speed rather than a book written by a stuffy academic trying to impress other academics. Buy this from Amazon US - it costs about £64, a saving of £30! Rip off Britain.

before you start reading this book, otherwise your nerves would be in pieces before the end of it. It is a frightening and disturbing read and has you on the edge of your seat willing her to stay away time and again. There can`t be many people on this earth as cruel and sadistic as the wests, and the fact that two of them actually met and married one another is creepy. Caroline, you don`t need me to tell you i`m sure, but you are one very lucky girl. Your guardian angel was surely with you back then. God bless you, stay safe. x

About half the book is about marine life, but there are also well written and illustrated sections about the physical structure and properties of the oceans, and different ocean environments, as well as an excellent Ocean Atlas at the back. I'd thoroughly recommend it!
