I started reading this to my son when he was 18 months, he is now 3.5 and its still one of his favourites. There is a lot of detail in all the pictures and the story moves from one page to the next and in the right context too. Its a well thought out, wonderful book!!

Thomas comes to breakfast is a funny little story about Thomas the Tank Engine. In this story Thomas heard his driver said that he can manage without him. As he didn't relise that his driver was only joking he boasted to Percy the Small Engine and Toby the Tram Engine. One morning a careless cleaner was messing around with Thomas's controls so he thought that he driving himself until he hit the stationmaster's house. He was sent to the works to be mended and returns home afterwards. But really everyone blamed Thomas when it was really the cleaner's fault. Oh well.
