The change to colour is a vast improvement but it has some pretty big failings. The information is relatively comprehensive but is spread out over several chapters and sub chapters. This means that you have to hunt for the rest of the information across several sub chapters and sections that would naturally be grouped together. Makes it great fun for lecturers as you literally do have to read every single sentence, and many chapters, to make sure you don't miss anything. The structure of the information is also strangely set out so it's difficult to pull out what you need simply. If we didn't use this as a text on our course we'd suggest better options like Grays anatomy for students, Tortola and a few others.

The pocket book is divided into the sections; introduction, upper limb, lower limb, trunk & neck and head & brain. Each section broken down into; bones, articular surfaces, capsule and ligaments, movement at each joint, movement as a whole, muscles and details specific to anatomical area. This clear layout and good indexing makes use of the book simple and efficient. The content is good and covers the anatomy in good detail, especially for such a small book. The best thing I found about this book is the use of excellent coloured diagrams detailing muscle, nerves, movements that make the information so much more accessible, especially if you find visual aids useful to learn from.
