I bought this recently for a 9 year old who has just started riding and I think it is perfect for a beginner to intermediate rider. There is a lot of information here such as caring for a horse, many different ways to ride and trouble shooting problems. I rode for 3 years and I'm learning from it and ordered another copy for my own daughter. I think it's small size is a bonus as you could/should take it riding with you.

I brought this book to read the short stories to my little one (currently 12 weeks old) since he was 8 weeks old during the day. The stories are just the right length to keep him entertained for up to 15 minutes with illustrations on every page that the little one can enjoy looking at. It has some best loved tales in there and often goes with the more moral ending rather than the one's I was told when I was little. Politically correct I suppose.

This book is for children but it would also suit any adult who's interested in learning how to draw faces. It's a 60-page book that covers quite a lot of broad areas including all the basic technical aspects of face drawing as well as how to deal with angles & lighting. There's also a range of drawing styles you can try out - everything from fine art to modern & quirky to cartoon to abstract!

Because it's primarly been designed for children, the book is written & illustrated in a way that is colourful, fun & accessible. I've got a few other drawing books (for adults) and none of them are as fun as this one or got me drawing as quickly as this did!
