I have been to Finland five times now and planning another trip for next year. I have travelled all over Finland so the photos in this book takes me back to when I was there. A great book that makes you see the country in all her glory.

Just the most uninspiring guide book I have ever seen. The description is just inaccurate. It is a small little book - there is no detail at all just short descriptions. The photography is really poor - the print is cheap so the images are washed out. When I bought it I didn't pick up that it was a Thomas Cook book or I wouldn't have got it, it is one of those freebie books thrown in with package holidays. I just feel cross inside. Luckily there is loads of stuff online about Puglia. It says there are maps inside - as if - there are tiny maps with the main roads and a few towns marked. You are seriously better off looking online or getting a hold of the Dorling Kindersly Italy book and using their very short chapter on Puglia - which is still miles better ... Read More:

I am an avid collector of Dorling Kindersley books. (I have 18 travel guides alone!) I have religiously used DK guides on my travels, but was disappointed to find some major issues. 1-Misinformation. DK said my hotel, the Vendome, does not offer breakfast, which it did. More distressing, it said a museum in Antwerp had a Gutenburg Bible, why we went to Antwerp, and it did not! Only a copy of a page and bibles printed at that time. Still fabulous, but for a designer trekking to see a specific book I studied in college- how horrible!) 2-Leaving out Ghent. Due to my reliance on the quality of DK guides, I took the sparce information on the city of Ghent and planned only 3/4 of a day there. The city turns out to be the 2nd reason (only behind Brugge) to visit ... Read More:
