I have waited for so long for this book, I just snapped it up when it came out - although I had to wait for some time before starting it because I wanted to 'take my time'. I've always loved Ash's character in the DH books and we got hints of his life throughout the Dark Hunter series - especially in Zarek's book, where Ash lets Zarek 'see' his a part of his past where he too was treated badly by his father.

I absolutely adored it! It's over 700 pages long and, from the very first page, we're riveted. I resented having to put it down - even to sleep! Drove my husband crazy - oops...!

Having read a most of Sherilyn's 'DH' books, all JR's 'Black Dagger' books, and all Christine's 'Dark' series, I have to say that ... Read More:

I havent read this yet but wish someone had said in a previous review how small this book is.

It is literally only 1/2cm thick so I was very surprised, and felt someone should mention it to other potential purchasers

This was my first Sherylyn Kenyon book, and the reviews had me intrigued. It seemed to cheesy to be true. Ancient Spartan Demi God trapped in a book only to appear when summoned to perform sex acts on his summoner for eternity.

Sounds like the plot of a second rate backstreet porno!

But I put aside my snobbery and went for it, and wasn't dissapointed. Its not the most intellectually challenging work of literature ever written, but its a "ripping yarn" which had me vegged out on the sofa for 2 blissful days.

I loved the characters, loved the fact that Grace wasn't some supermodel with tiny waist massive knockers and endless legs. She's a normal girl who has a loony tarrot card weilding friend who, for a laugh ... Read More:

I love Sherrilyn Kenyon`s Dark Hunter series. However Night Play is a favourite due to the story of Bride
(a boutique owner) and Vane (a were-hunter wolf). When you read this book you get a great story that you will want to re read.

Having seen and heard nothing of this book beyond it being the third in the BAD series I bought and read blind, with no expectations beyond good old fashioned 'romance' novel performance.

Having read the first two BAD stories I read and enjoyed this book and found it to be exactly what I expected it to be.

Your basic 'Romance' novel this book isn't designed to be high art or a literary classic, it's a romance novel and if you hadn't told me it was co written I never would have guessed. It's not below par in my opinion and I found it comparable to any Keynon novel I have ever read (which is all of them bar Acheron which is arriving next week...)

The plot is, as always, obvious but then that's because you know the guy will get the ... Read More:

Based on the reviews, I decided to try this book, I had only ready one of the authors before.

Turn up the heat, for a short story it was excellent, but potentially it could have been expanded, the action part of the story was short, a little too short in my opionion, but well written.

Hunter's Oath, again short story, it began to show a relationship, then it was months later and they were happily married.

The Warlord Wants forever, This I though was the best of the three, the charaters were allowed to develop, and the story line did not leave you feeling a little cheated, in other words it wasn't an abrupt end or seemingly missing a huge chunk of the story.

In conclusion, if you have never read any of the other workings ... Read More:

I was really looking forward to reading this, and had been saving it for when I had lots of time to really enjoy it, but found myself a bit disappointed.

Don't get me wrong, there's a great storyline, and a Wulf and Cassandra are both great heroes, but it sort of felt as if the story dragged too much. Apart from an occasional fight, Wulf never really did anything very much and it was really up to Ash to save the day. Wulf just went with the flow, and the ending felt too much like a swiftly cooked up loophole.

I, like a few of the reviewers, enjoyed the book but thought it wasn't as good as other Dark-Hunter novels. If you're a fan, you'll want to read it. If you are new to the series start, with Night Pleasures.

That said, the hardcover editions of Kenyon's books from Piatkus are beautiful, solid publications. The dust jacket designs complement the series pefectly (being mostly black:) On the spine of each book in the series is the Artemis/Dark-Hunter double bow and arrow, below the title. The print size is reasonably sized. These are well worth the price (and the shipping for those outside of the UK).

Firstly, I know the Dream Hunter novels are supposed to be a separate series from the Dark Hunters but if you look at the Official Sherrilyn Kenyon website the reading order for the Dark Hunter and Dream Hunter novels are not mutually exclusive . In fact with the build up to the long awaited 'Acheron' novel, every book SK has written in the two series so far have some little tit bits that keep you updated on all the characters you have met from previous novels. This is why I think I give a little leeway with the Dream Hunter Series. It is true that to date they have not been on a par with the Dark Hunter novels, but I feel with 'Dream Chaser' SK really has pulled it back from the last book in the series, 'Upon A Midnight Clear'. To say that it was disappointing would be an understatement. ... Read More:
