be aware that some of recipes have a lot of added sugar. Not good if you're on any kind of diet!

I very rarely write reviews about products, but I felt the need to for this book. In my opinion this book should be in EVERYONE'S kitchen. It has not only saved me money but it has improved my cooking skills. I like make everything from scratch, and thanks to this book it has helped me in this challenge. I can be 100% sure I know exactly what I'm eating - and this book makes it easy - and fast!!!

I have just spent my lunchtime pouring over this book, and I cannot wait to try the recipes out. Rosemary starts out with her usual splurg about dieting, and then explains about the Slim to Win Diet. There is a fat attack to start your diet, or you can simply personalise your own diet, and after looking through the book, you cannot fail by personalising. There are starters, lunches, recipes for meat eaters, fish eaters and vegetarians, and whole section on roasts and also a fail free christmas menu, and for those of you who have a sweet tooth a whole section on puddings. I simply cannot recommend this enough -

I have recently been diagnosed with insulin resistance, and told I needed to follow a low GI diet. A recipe book created by a chef who was also diagnosed as insulin resistant seemed like an obvious choice, but I was very disappointed for several reasons. First, most of the recipes do not seem practical for everyday living. Many of them have long cooking times and need perishable or unusual ingredients, and therefore need forward planning. Second, I feel there is not enough information to enable the reader to make their own low GI recipes. Be warned that if you are vegetarian, Dr Atkins says his diet would be too boring because you would have insufficient choice of protein foods. But if you're not, it's brilliant, and it really does reduce weight FAST with no hunger after the first few days. And despite what the scaremongers say, it does include green veg, and after the first fortnight it includes a wide range of veg and some fruit and is perfectly well balanced. Others have come along afterwards and you may find them presented in a way you like better: e.g. Nerys and India's Idiot Proof Diet is great and has a supportive forum pig2twig, which helps a lot. I was really looking forward to reading this book for inspiration to pursue a healthier lifestyle. The book's "inspiration" amounted to a lot of swearing- obviously covering up the authors' lack of appropriate vocabulary. It comes across as crass and ill-informed. Also, many of their "scientific claims" are completely false, and they cite inadequate sources for these outrageous claims. If the reader has a basic education in biology, he/she will recognize the false claims and the poor attempts to cover them up using expletives. A total waste of time.

I've just cooked another dinner from this book and yet again it was scrumptious as well as healthy. I'd recommend this book to anyone, not just those with diabetes. Yummy!

Some superb recipes. I love the apricot & all bran cake, very popular with my friends, but I added ginger after the first try. The nice thing is that this is an English cookery book, so we can easily get the ingredients. Thanks Antony.

I was hugely disappointed with this book - particularly with the photography of the finished dishes - it's redolent of the quality you'd find in a 1970's cookbook - the food looks totally unappetising. I love cookery books and looked forward to this arriving but can honestly say I'll be lucky to use 2-3 recipes if that. Uninspiring with an over reliance on a few ingredients. Sorry, but wouldn't recommend this to anyone who really enjoys cooking.

This is a must have item for anyone with candida. The recipes are a life-saver. The easy part is figuring out what you can't have but i really needed help with what i can have & this was it. 5 stars.
