A book that is simply not written to be understood. A book that can only really be read if purchased with other guides. A book written by persons that have no idea about this industry. A black cable can now be live, existing blue cables now may be live but new blue ones will be neutrals. Persons will die because of these Regs. Written by so called experts that do not care how much it all costs. Let's put RCDs or RCBOs on everything. Why buy it, because you have to.

I ordered this book after reading recommendations on amazon and my baby seems to love it. He loves staring at the faces and the other patterns on the pages. The book crinkles so he loves to feel it and the velcro strap to attach it to cot/pram is a great feature. The book looks boring to parents but baby loves it! A great buy.

Although best known for his travel writing, Bryson's books on the English language are brilliant, so it's quite appropriate to find him writing about its most famous exponent.
A huge amount has been written about Shakespeare and his life, despite the fact that very little is really known about him. Bryson keeps the focus on what is definitely known, with little forays into some of the best theories about the rest. Where nothing is known at all, the 'lost years', he chooses to explore Elizabethan London and culture instead, putting the man in context.
Informative, wry, and well researched, this debunks plenty of Shakespeare myths in an accessible and enjoyable style, and Bryson turns out to be an excellent guide.

As a previous reviewer states, this book seems as if it has been rushed into print. In addition to the poor quality of the graphs (they look like they have been photocopied) the short section where Soros provides a chronology of his recent trading decisions just read like a few pages of his diary have been added to the book to fill it out.

In addition, if you have read any of Soros' other books prepare to go over some familiar ground. As he fairly explicitly acknowledges a large motivation for him to write is to promote his conception of relexivity. If you are expecting and wanting to read this and discover trading tips, or very specific economic predictions you might as well save your money. Almost by its nature the concept of reflexivity ... Although I found this book helpful I felt that it could have contained alot more practice questions. Half of the book talks about why you want to be a doctor and how to write your personal statement when really what I wanted was more practice questions which were in another book I bought.

Discovered this by accident in a old fashioned book store and love it. OK so the humour is a bit naff but this guy seriously knows what he is talking about and how to put it on paper so that the only thing on your mind after reading a chapter is reaching for the camera to put it into practice.

Quick tips that can really help improve the pictures that you take with whatever equipment you have to hand without blinding you with science.

Here it is, the cure for insomnia!

Given that one of the aims of the Life in the UK test is to test English literacy, you would think the official guide would be written in accessible English! Instead, we are handed this sloppy compilation of pointless statistics, useless abbreviations, dry facts with little context and advice that will make you slap your forehead and scowl: 'Well, OBVIOUSLY!'

A blue box pops up every so often asking the reader 'check that you understand...', but oftentimes what is listed has NOT been explained or even mentioned in what you've just finished reading. I defy anyone to explain to me the differences between the Council of Europe, the Council of the EU, the EU, the EC and the European Parliament at the best of times, ... Read More:

This is my second attempt at writing a comment. My first attempt must have been too extreme.

I didn't like this book at all. Why?

Because it gives you false hope. I'll explain: Yes I believe that everything in the Universe, including our thoughts, are connected. But the problem with books like The Key, The Secret, The Attraction Factor, are that you send out the wrong thoughts. The thoughts you are sending out to the Universe are 'I'm not satisfied with what I have. I want this, and I want that.' You are sending out thoughts of weakness. The thoughts you are sending are not your's but those of your ego. You are not empowering yourself with attaining your desires, you are living in hope that the Universe will provide them for you.
