I'm probably preaching to the converted, but ISIHAC is intelligent, naughty, fantastic, foolish, sarcastic, and more. iPod users beware - you simply cannot stop yourself laughing to this. The radio in my car died and so I dug these out of my cupboard. Haven't enjoyed the commute so much for ages. Don't miss out.

I bought this audio book because I enjoy David Tennant's readings. He does a wonderful array of voices and accents in everything he does. However, the story was just awful. This author has never been a particular favorite of mine, but has been in the past, passable. Tennant's talent wasn't enough to pull this tiresome, BORING story out of the morass. Don't waste your money on this one.

I got this in what I thought would be a vain attempt to learn English before a trip to France. Not having spoken a word of French since my GCSE's (and even then it wasn't much!), I was not confident. The package, like other language products, comes with both audo cds and books. What makes the difference here is the layout, and the general presentation. It is extremely easy to pick up and learn. This then gives you the confidence to continue. There isn't anything here that hasn't been done before, but it has been put together incredibly well.

Let me start with on a good point and say that michels technique is a true work of art Its only when you have listened to the tapes a few times(and you will need to in order to completely digest it) that you realise how clever he is at making his point. It really is as close as you can get to painless language tuition. When I had ingested this course i was convinced that I could speek fluent french,however it is only the introductory course so you will be needing the avanced course after.Which is also exellent,and much more involved. I am a very well read 16 year old (I've read everything from Ian McEwan to Jane Austen) and I am completly in love with this series. I've been reading them since I was 8 and this is the best one (followed by the 5th). It's so exciting and so much is cleared up but it also leaves some things open for discussion. It's great for escaping into! It's sad and happy at the same time time and when I finished it I put it down cried for about 20 mins (just cause the series was over!) then picked it straight back up and re-read it! I've read the whole series at least 10 times and i can't find anyway to fault it. Buy it now!! It's the best book ever!

Lovely books and lovely story cd's too. So much nicer in the car than mind bending childrens music ALL THE TIME! We've even managed to get our 2 year old to stay at the table for a complete meal if the cd is on. I cannot recommend this highly enough. It's just a shame there is only one story collection available.

I'd always enjoyed being read and later reading myself the Just So Stories. With children of my own I started them on these stories and having a cd of them means we can enjoy them on the move. The joy of hearing Jonnie Morris' super animal voice characterisations just adds to the enjoyment - takes me back to watching Animal Magic - deep joy! Four year old daughter enjoys listening to the stories but my nine year old son has become a great fan - this now regularly is on his cd player in his room. Buy this and you'll all be able to listen together and enjoy.

I have bought a number of spanish courses, from Michel Thomas (god bless his soul) to GCSE bitesize. Yet still I could not piece together a simple sentence, let alone a conversation. I have one or two friends who are fluent in speaking spanish, but when I tried to speak I turned into a blithering idiot - the words just wouldn't come out, my brain just wouldn't work fast enough. Then I read the reviews on quickstart Spanish and thought - I must give it a go! Even though my bookshelves are already groaning under the weight! Loved it, as do my 4yr old and 6 yr old. listened to it on the way to school and like the other reviewer had to stop myself carrying on once I had dropped off the children. So good to hear one of the classics as well, reminds me of my childhood!!
