This is the most wonderful book I've ever read. She is whitty, charismatic and her insights and paths are so similar to mine I was able to relate on every page. Even if this is not similar to your path (some of my happily or newly married friends were not fussed by it) she stresses the importance of getting in touch with who you really are and how to find you. I have bought about 10 of these books and have given them to friends around the world from all walks of life. Amazing book I give it my highest recommendation.

If you enjoyed the original 'Nella Last's War' then you will enjoy this second volume just the same. The end of hostilities doesn't mean the end of either Nella's writing, or her talent with words and observation. It also certainly does not mean the end of hardship and difficulty. I drove to Barrow on the strength of the first diary and was very fortunate to meet the present owners of Nella's old house - they actually bought it off the Last family forty years ago. Just sitting in her old living room, where all those words had poured onto the page, brought Nella and her time tangibly closer. I heartily recommend this book.

I can only add to the unalloyed praise of others and wish that Nella Last could know what pleasure and enlightenment her "scribbling" would bring to others over 60 years later.

She writes beautifully and naturally, but what's most interesting is the way she changes as the war progresses. At the beginning she is sickly and weak, plagued with arthritis, and refers to a "breakdown" she had a few years before. But she determines to "do something" for the war effort and joins the WVS. From there she goes from strength to strength, and the evolution of her ideas is fascinating; she comes to see her conventional marriage to an old stick of a husband as "slavery". She's also very observant and perceptive of the people around her.

This book isn't as promoted a tell all on the Spears daughters Britney and Jamie-Lynne.

The book is extremely short and padded out with magazine style enlarged quotes from within the text and black and white pictures - the book overall probably contains not much more text than a short story.

The only significant section of the book which mentions Britney covers the night of her second commitment to hospital and is lifted word for word from the statement Lynne Spears submitted to court in February when petitioning for a restraining order against Sam Lufti. All the information in this has already been widely reported.

Whilst you have to respect Lynne Spears for not selling out her daughters the majority of this book ... Read More:

Ms Corby has over a dozen web sites supporting her innocence, and dozens of bloggers from both sides. The pro camp insist that she was set up for the Bali airport bust where over 4kgs of hydroponically grown marijuana was discovered as she landed from Sydney, while the against bloggers grumble that she must have been aware of the contents of her oversize `boogie' surf-board bag. They point to her party-loving family and friends but scarcely prove much. The book is naturally in the pro group building a case only slightly marred by feverish insistence and sentimentality.
Professionally written by a journalist working with Schapelle, No More Tomorrows keeps interest high even if questions remain. The book is among the better of this year's prison-hell ... Read More:

Whilst a MOP myself (Member Of Public) I opened the book with great interest and found it an incredibly addictive read.

I thoroughly recommend it for lots of uses : as something to make you sigh at how ridiculously beaurocratic the U.K. has become, something to help you understand the response you receive if you call 999 because somebody "looked at you funny" or most of all, as something to genuinely make you laugh out loud at totally inappropriate moments !

I found myself sighing and muttering to myself numerous times whilst reading at the sheer stupidity of how our police forces are "managed" according to "targets" these days - this country has gone mad ! At the same time, some parts of the book are just beautifully, exquisitely ... Read More:

An exhaustively researched but generally very readable biography. In a few places (esp. the chapters on image, art and costume) the level of detail does get a little too much, but this is a testament to the author's endeavours. It is difficult to see how this can be bettered as a biography of this subject, absent the discovery of some significant new primary source.

I stumbled across this book on amazon as its not my usual read (may be now)
I found this book gripping and detailed, i felt i lived many moments with Suzanne, although her life may appear crazy to some she is a woman who knows what she likes and knows how to get it!!!

Not a book for the faint hearted can be very graphic and erotic in places but a great insight for anyone with an open mind to sex.

I read this book in an afternoon on holiday. It had been left (unsurprisingly) by a previous guest. Oh dear.

It is boring, badly written, dull, self-obsessed, repetitive nonsense. It is unenlightening, totally unerotic and very childish.

I'm an open minded chap but can only think that the main market for this book is trashy magazine reading illiterates or (soon to be disappointed)men looking for titillation. Sad and rubbish.
