Beautifully printed and clearly set out. Used this for a trip to the Amalfi coast and it highlighted some hidden gems to explore. Also included some good restaurant listings and tips. Excellent coverage of all areas, including Pompeii and Vesuvius.

Norman Lewis's son is a friend of mine and has been for twenty years. For twenty years I've drunk beer, watched football, told jokes and (in the dim & distant past) chased girls with the son. I even met the father once. It was not until I read the back of a Norman Lewis book last year & saw the picture, that I put two and two together. "Yep, that's my Dad". Astonishing! I read that book,A Dragon Apparent, and enjoyed it, but not really enough to run out & buy others. This makes finding relevant information tedious - not that there is that much really useful information. You might expect the guide to tell you how to get to Rome by train and how long the journey would take - prepare to be disappointed. The title is also misleading - I bourght the book for a holiday on the Amalfi coast: this area is dealt with in 1 small chapter, and seems to be an after-thourght. The consequence is that I need to buy another book.... Poor effort - I would avoid this book
