I found this book the literary equivalent of looking at someone's holiday photos - lots of them. Admittedly I didn't get past Spain, the style and presentation obviously pleases several people, I found it boring and unreadable.

Excellent book even for the complete beginner with grammer help also, i found it easy to use and very helpfull even funny in parts with some words that have another meaning in english ! Some words are hard to pronounce so maybe some audio (cd ) would help to start .

I found this Bradt travel guide more comprehensive and accurate than many of the Lonely Planet or Rough Guides I've purchased in the past. The author seems genuinely interested in the country and I enjoyed reading the funny accounts of his experiences - both good and bad. The Practical Information section is particularly useful (I did't realise I needed vaccinations to visit Croatia until I'd read this!)

Big fan of Lonley Planet, Ive always brought the series in preference, and have done a lot of great traveling with the guides in my back pocket - However this one lets the side down. It feels like it has been cobbled together from research on the internet rather than anyone visiting / testing locations. If you pick up this then dont make the mistake we did and take a rough guide as well...

As the title suggests, it looks nice but this book actually lacks substance. It lists plenty of churchs to see but little else - I like to really know what we are going to visit before a trip but this left me looking for another guide.
