Excellent book even for the complete beginner with grammer help also, i found it easy to use and very helpfull even funny in parts with some words that have another meaning in english !
Some words are hard to pronounce so maybe some audio (cd ) would help to start .

I'm in Mongolia having just succesfully driven from London, through Kazahkstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgistan and Russia on our way and can safley Bouvier describes this style of travel to a tee, still poigniant in its representation of the life one encouters 50 years down the line. Aside from the incredible places and people that the two discover along the way, the real joy is in Bouvier's writting, his ability to see the world in exsquisitely poetic and lucid detail is astonashing, I found myslef grinning with pleasure at descriptions of a beggers breath or the faces of gypsies (ah there crap examples), but there is no point me trying to explain, I haven't the talent his weilds, so, as with everyhting, its better off experiencing it for yourself. ... Having just written a poor review for the Bradt Bosnia guide, this guide is quite a contrast and in my opinion excellent. Bradt gives their authors more freedom than other guides which means each book might not be to everyone's tastes or expectations from the series. Annalisa Rellie to me struck the perfect balance between showing a passion for the country (something often lacking in factual RG/LP guides) yet providing comprehensive and concise information. I did think that there was detailed information about the beaches, although I prefer hiking and found the descriptions of Durmitor and areas around Skadar lake to be very useful and informative. Montenegro is a very small country and we actually walked a large chunk of the coast in a couple ... Read More:

In the 2nd edition of his already excellent guidebook L. Mitchell has given a considerably enlarged, significantly improved and fully updated story about the country where I work as a licensed tourist guide and therefore I thought I knew it best.

To my surprise, I was able to discover in this book not only a great deal of practical information mainly useful for visitors and tourists alike, but also some really amazing, less known and unfamiliar stories about the country and its people.

The 2nd edition included expanded coverage on various background topics, such as Serbian cinema, literature and music, with boxes on Serbian personalities in these fields (for instance, Emir Kusturica or Ceca, an extravagant Balkan diva) as ... Read More:

What would you check if travelling/visiting a foreign country? Read a guide book perhaps... Well, in this case you have two authors (both females) who learnt Albanian and Serbiyan language, that's pretty sometihng for this tiny country and it shows how devoted were those authors. It has enormous detailed, descriptions of many beautiful places to visit and other attractions too, and I'm sure that this NEW state of Kosovo has to offer to adrenalin, romantic, or just ordinary travellers! A real must read if you love Kosovo. I certainly believe that Kosovo with its capacity will become a trendy direction for vacations in four seasons.

Excellent all round travel guide. Superbly presented, this book gives good details, links, numbers, names to arrange/travel around Montenegero. Certainly one of the best of this kind of books I have come across.

7.Montenegro (Bradt Travel Guide Montenegro) by: Annalisa Rellie

Books : Montenegro (Bradt Travel Guide Montenegro)
Annalisa's book is the only guide you are likely to find which focuses entirely on Montenegro. However, approach with caution. It is undoubtably a useful book to have with you on your trip, but I learned after a day or two on the trip to take her opinions with a pinch of salt.

If you are relying on public transport, this book will only weigh down your backpack, there is no public transport info aside from locating bus & train stations on maps.

Use the guide to plan your itenerary and to get a vague idea of what you can expect to find in each place you visit. Annalisa's descriptions of Montenegro's towns and cities are optimistic in the extreme, and after a while you will not be able to trust her on what really is beautiful ... Read More:
