This is an excellent pocket-sized guide to a very beautiful and vibrant country. The chapters each cover a main region to visit (split into Port Louis, Central Mauritius, South Mauritius etc.) and include all the must-see places, many of which are not on the usual tourist trail. Unlike most other guides it's also in full colour with lots of pictures so you get a real feel of what awaits you. The guide only covers Mauritius and not any of the other nearby islands such as Reunion and the Seychelles, which are separate travel destinations in themselves. The map included is also very useful as local maps, where you can actually find one, can be very inaccurate or out-of-date - the locals don't need them with Mauritius being such a small island. ... Great book, we were thinking of honeymooning in Sri Lanka and then this book decided it. Comprehensive without being daunted all regions and attractions were covered and rated (plus the version we had came with a great map as part of the deal)
