Chinese Food Made Easy. It is a wonderful book wtth a wide variety of recipes, A person who has never cooked Chinese food could buy a wok and give it a go! Some ingredients have been a problem in a rural area but alternatives are suggested, Some of the recipes contain tofu but it ends up tasting mainly of the other flavours, delicious!!

I found this book to be brilliant. You can't think too much about how YOU want the story to end because at the end of the day, this is the way that Stephenie Meyer wanted to finish the series and I think that she should be congratulated for being able to accomplish what she wanted to. This is not the first vampire story to say that it is impossible for vampires to have children, and then they magically manage to do so. Just look at the Angel and Buffy TV series'.
Overall, the book is well written with a gripping plot, and there is no way that Stephenie Meyer would have been able to write an ending to such a brilliant series that all of her fans would love, so get over it - this is the only book we are going to get so live with it.

I thoroughly enjoyed The House at Riverton but felt the storyline was very weak. This was far better. It was a great story albeit slightly drawn out. I agree with a negative reviewer who said the book was full of cliches and sterotypes but I loved it. I think a cliche must have been good in the first place and all these sterotypical characters and plotlines work, otherwise they wouldn't have cliched or sterotypical status.
In The Forgotten Garden there is a mix of plot, historical detail, goodies. baddies and mysteries to keep you reading. I've enjoyed this more than anything I've read for a long time. Hugely entertaining.

I had read one of Rose Tremain's other novels, 'Restoration' previously and loved it, so decided to try this latest one despite the fact that the premises of the two novels were very different. I wasn't disappointed, this story engaged me right from the first page and I actually read it in just two sittings, unable to put it down.

I can't comment on the accuracies or otherwise of Lev's home country as I am boringly and quintessentially English, but seeing England through Lev's eyes made me feel as though mine had been opened a bit more, which to me isn't a bad thing. Lev's friendships, especially with Christy and Lydia, were heartwarming and they all had back stories of their own which I found fascinating.

I got this book to take on holiday and think it was well written, very enjoyable and thoroughly deserves the praise it got. I read it within a couple of days and cannot understand the negative comments from past reviewers have given it. Maybe they should stick to reading mills and boon books!!!

I bought The Outcast because Amazon highlighted it as by a first time published novelist. The style is refreshingly simple yet has a depth and quality all of its own. The issues in the story not only fit the era in which it is set but also modern times. So sad that a child can be almost destroyed by self-righteous and judgemental hypocrites.

But The Outcast also has a sense of renewal and hope for the future. It is a poignant story and in my opinion, well worth the read.

Sadie Jones story is also interesting and gives unpublished writers hope for the future.

I really loved reading this book, completed in three days. It draws you in to the world of the Indian Empire in the late 1920s, and the characters of the three girls are well-developed as the plot progresses. I too, was infuriated with Tor and Viva at various points in the novel, but always wanted to read on to find out what happened, and what the odious Guy did next. I spotted the mistake with the parlour game too (see other reviews), and that annoyed me a bit - surely a good editor would have seen that? I really enjoyed the ending - tears running down my face as I read that chapter! Highly recommend this for a holiday read, it's a perfect beach book.
