this is the first bond book ive read, i really enjoyed the storyline it starts off slow but soon picks up. fast and pulsating its hard 2 put down, its more like the old bond films which i like the storyline is very good. the book concentrates on the story being in the middle east and france and on 1 villian j.gorner with a dodgy monkey hand and his sidekick chagrin, who bond and scarlett try 2 stop an evil plot 2 blame the british 4 a near disaster. bond must b pissed in this book he drinks more booze than an alcoholic, the only thing i didn't like is all the dodgy french words with bonds time in paris. any 1 who reads this book will find a good read not a bad debut by sebastian faluks.

GORDON RAMSAY'S HEALTHY APPETITE is a must have for those who want great tasting food without all the calories and fat. It seems some have been put off by the fact that this is not a diet book. No one ever said it was. Rather, it is a healthy approach to eating without blowing your entire way of living out of the water. What Ramsay wants to make clear (I believe) is that there are several factors involved in healthy eating: proportion, moderation, seasoning, and the right combination of foods, just to name a few.

Highlights for me include the "Four Cabbage Coleslaw," the "Penne Primavera," and the "Pot roast sirloin of beef." Other may warm to the "Glazed Gammon with pineapple Salsa," which I haven't tried yet but will soon.

After having enjoyed previous books by this author, I was quite confident that I had bought another "enjoyable, light reading" book. I really tried to get into the book, but found it slow, boring, depressing, dull. I gave up at page 220..., frustrated, and irritated by the dismal and negative tone of the book, by the fact that after 220 pages of the book, nothing has happened, the reader is still "discovering" the rather boring characters of the book (haven't even got to Alicia yet); it's terribly static. Too bad...

Nan is a feisty and eccentric 65 year old widow, who has lived alone for many years in a large house in Nantucket. Rather than selling her house, she decides to rent out some of the rooms for the summer. The book is about the people who come to live with her, all of whom have their own problems and the way that they all come together. It's a warm hearted and easy book - not one that will stay with you particularly, but an excellent summer read that hooks you in quickly and keeps moving at a good pace right through to the end.

I've read a couple of Jane Green's early novels (Babyville and The Other Woman) and enjoyed them. "The Beach House" is quite different. It's still a light and enjoyable read but it's a change in style (no young women having ... Read More:

An exhaustive review for this has already been given, so I'm just going share a few of my thoughts.

For me, this is the best book yet in the Malazan Book of the Fallen. It is certainly the most intricate so far with more characters and happenings than ever (at least it seems that way). It moves along through the first three parts at a fairly sedate pace laying the ground for an earth shattering final part. As mentioned in another review, at times in this book Erikson adopts a different writing style, in which he is actually speaking to you of the events occuring at the time. It's pretty much exclusive to the goings on in Darujhistan, and I rather enjoyed it, though I don't expect we'll be seeing it again. The book is filled with a sense of melancholy ... Read More:

I enjoyed this book when I read it and have given copies to friends and family to read. Take out the nonsense areas like its all your fault when something major goes wrong .... scary statement indeed, and some of it makes sense. You can have so much more in life and all it takes is focus and belief ... if you can truly beleive it, you can acheive it. So much of this is taken out of context and without the incredible power that comes from the great master himself Napoleon Hill. I would urge you to read or listen to the 6 set cd series by napeleon hill ... Tony Robins and so many others have learnt and preach his teachings from almost 100 years ago ... it is the real thing !! The Science of Personal Acheivement. Its called. Its the real Mccoy. Rhoda and some great ... Read More:

This book is absolutely brilliant, even if u are not a westlife fan i would buy it as it will change ur opinion on them. I got my book the day it came out and queued for 8hours at manchester to get it signed!!!! It shows u that Westlife arent just a cover band in suits, they are four normal lads enjoying what they do. This book makes u feel that u know the lads on a more personal level, it makes u feel like u have been on the tour bus with them, backstage before and after the shows and been through the ups and downs that they have. Also the lads write their own personal messages to fans in the book which makes u feel like that are actually talking to u. This book shows u how much Westlife really appreciates their fans.

ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this is another fine outing for Roy Grace and is probably the best of the series to date. The discovery of the bodies of two females one in Brighton the other in Australia are linked to a Brighton business man who was thought to have died in New York on 9/11 and in some way, this is then linked to a young woman who is being terrorised. Peter james weaves these strands together effortlessly and at times the book is very difficult to put down. The one detraction Grace has to contend with is fellow Detectice Superintendant Cassian Pewe, which I for one found to be totally uneccessary though it does not detract from the overall enjoyment.

This book is gorgeous romantic froth & I loved it. How does Fforde manage to make her heroines real women, juggling jobs, families, relationships, and yet, her men are pure fantasy figures? Still single & straight in their 30s, bruised by love but not bitter, kind, helpful & sexy all at the same time. Sarah is a wedding planner who doesn't believe in romance; Elsa, a dressmaker who needs some self confidence; and Bron, a hairdresser with a boorish boyfriend who wants to make some changes in her life. When a Hollywood celebrity hires Sarah to plan her perfect wedding, Sarah is eager to take up the challenge, with help from Elsa & Bron. Then, her younger sister, Lily, announces that her wedding is planned for the same day, and could Sarah help her plan the perfect wedding ... Read More:
