If you're anything like me and want to make food for your little one with things like butternut Ssquash or beetroot but haven't got a clue what to do with them then this is definitely the book for you - in fact even if you don't this is a fab book!!

All the recipes i've made have been delicious, and as the recipes are for several portions it means you can freeze some saving you time later on. My only regret is that i didn't find this book sooner, this would be fantastic to start out weaning with. Needless to say that this cookbook will still be around long after my little one has grown up.

Fantastically scrumptious food thats healthy too - you can't go wrong.

At first I thought this book was brilliant but actually it's got incorrect information in it which could be a danger to your child and I couldn't trust it!!

In the 4-7 month category it has recipes for oats and meat. If you're weaning your child before 6 months you should know that you cannot give meat to them and only gluten free oats, which it doesn't mention.

I wouldn't trust this book and will not be using it. Unfortunately I didn't get to look at it until it was too late to return.

This is a brilliant book, looking at the farmers who grow and develop various organic produce. It is written in a month-to-a-chapter format, with each chapter highlighting a particular sector of the organic industry, IE bakery, dairy, meat etc. It has some excellent tips on growing your own produce and tells you what you should be doing in your garden at each point in the year. This was very interesting to read and helpful in increasing my knowledge of organic food and it's benefit in one's diet.

I found various things in this book very interesting and useful. Mainly the recipes using the blender and raw ingredient combinations, the cakes, bars and little extras section (all vegan), the banana bread recipe is really easy and delicious. Also contains interesting info regarding juicing for babies which I hadn't considered until I read this book.

OK - we are a family whose younger "children" (teenagers) love chips, burgers, fizzy drinks and ready meals, a mother (me..) who detests cooking for the family, mainly due to the above. (=DULL) However, given a chance to prepare "something different" it's a whole new ball game..Daphne's book makes for interesting reading into the background of organic and natural foods, and inspires exploration of foodstuffs hitherto untried. What I have mostly been impressed with is the ease with which we can acquire the vast majority of ingredients, even at our local supermarkets - we can get hold of pretty much everything (and pick the rest from our extremely overgrown garden! see the book!) The instructions are idiot-proof (really!) - no disasters so far, all delicious ... Read More:

This was an alright book, The recipes weren't very different to most normal cookbooks how ever if you are interested in learning more about organic foods, it has some excellent sections to explain what organic foods are and why you should use them. for this i would rate it 4 stars but for the book as a whole only 3.
