Losing My Virginity: The Autobiography. This was gift, I kept putting it off before reading. Once I started I could not put it down. A great book, very well written and interesting. Its time for the updated version or book two.

Philip Broughton went into the Harvard MBA like an anthroplogist goes to live with an obscure jungle tribe - this book works on the same principle of outsider wisdom, of the newcomer able to see just how strange the social norms of these hard-to-access cultures can be. Marvel at these elite MBA-ers and their language of "creating a developmental agenda for leveraging their reflected best-self"! Puzzle at the strong emphasis on business integrity and moral judgment, when fact is everyone's really there to learn how to make a lot of money. But, however odd, the Harvard MBA programme indubitably produces global business & economic leaders who shape a substantial portion of our lives, and so it's in everyone's interests to understand how this elite ... This is an excellent look at the investment style of Warren Buffett. It is extremely well written and very clear, I'd even go so far to say that you don't need an in-depth knowledge of maths to understand the principles outlined in this book as they are explained so clearly, with many examples based on Buffetts own techniques and actual stock/business purchases. It has a slight biographical quality about it as well, which is great for that deeper understanding of Buffett and what has motivated and shaped his thinking. Of all the investment books i've read, this is one of the most accessible and useful. A great introduction to Buffett and value investing. Highly, highly recommended. If this piqued your interest try 'The Essays of Warren Buffett' ... Read More:

This book is another by David Ogilvy that was a pleasure to read from cover to cover. It's great fun, wittily written, and full of good points. The advertisements are, of course, rather different from those we are used to seeing today, but the thinking and approach are as relevant as ever.

An interesting insight into starting, running and making a success of a business.

First off, I'm not a big reader.... I start many books and rarely finish any of them. This one I did finish.... That in its self is the biggest compliment I can make.

It was easy to read, interesting and I understood the points Rachael was making.
I liked the layout and the fact it covered many different type of businesses, entrepreneurs and particular challenges. By the end of it I was plotting my best ideas of business opportunities.... I think I'll be visiting the web-links next to assess my likelihood of success.

Who would've thought you could read a book that inspires you to climb, surf, make obscure pieces of ironmongery, design clothes and run a company - all in one slim volume.

Yvon Chouinard is one of the most important business leaders around today because he's made a values-lead business highly profitable. Any aspring business leader (and, more importantly, those already running businesses) should be forced to read this. It's the future.

This is a good book about how one individual just lucked out on EBAY. Mr Tonello's wild ride through Europe to collect the most coveted handbag is truly fascinating! Not only does he find Birkins through a flurry of Hermes scarves but he also has a great adventure doing it.
Perfect quick read for the weekend!

Frank Bettger, as in "Bet-cher life" wrote the original in 1947. Frank sold life insurance. What a stormer. It was recommended on a Stuart Lotherington QUIS sales course. I bought the book a couple of days later. Frank's advice has been worth many times the cover price to me.

So many rock-solid tips, backed up by well told stories: Keep records, and make time to plan; Shoot for the bulls-eye, find the most important reason for your customer to buy; Make appointments, take a recommendation, praise your competitors; Look great.

A polished gem of a sales book, for anyone interested in helping others to come to great decisions. I loved it.
