Having first read Ishmael and now this book, I have just started on my third Daniel Quinn book "the Story of B". I have always thought along similar lines as the philosophy set out in these books, but now find that they are shaking my foundations: I am a teacher and have started to question the whole educational system as a result of reading this book. Where do I go from here? As Ishmael says: You may reach one or a million people with the message. And that's what I'll try.

Asimov has an easy style, is clearly highly intelligent and achieved fantastic things during his lifetime. It seemed strange to me, therefore, why he found it necessary to take every opportunity to trumpet his achievements; surely they speak for themselves? Is he insecure? That was one very disturbing element when reading the book. The other was his attitude towards his son and his first wife. Although he doesn't hide his feelings towards them, they are nonetheless to be deplored. There seemed to be a embarrassing lack of generosity towards them. So, an easy enough read, but my admiration of Asimov was seriously undermined by the end of the book.

This Book is an Exelent example of this type of writing, as a Brit, Who has folowed Military Fiction for a LONG time now, I find it great to experience Authors who do not take themselves, or indeed the story tooo seriously!!!, and the inventive use of German, in this Particular book was certainly good for more than a few Laughs, especially as I noticed that the Characters were Very like the names applied to them!!!, which was just cool!!!, I am in total agreement with the american reviewer Clark, I seriously reccomend this book and indeed the WHOLE series!!!!!!, this deserves a hearty WELL DONE to the authors!!!!!

This is the best book that i have read to date, with absolutely no exceptions. The book covers such a wide range of issues around reincarnation you get the idea of how much of this Lady's heart and soul went into this book. It all started for her when her son and then her daughter opened up to her about being here before. I try and read a book a month (If i can squeeze it in) and having read 'The Gift' by Mia Dolan and Derek Acorah's 'Amazing Psychic Stories', books written by two of Britain's leading phychic mediums, you learn very quickly how all the information given in these three books ties neatly into each other. This is probably the most imprtant book in the whole of communications theory. Although limited in some respects in what it achieved (it was surpassed by some later work by Kolmogorov et al.) this is still the fundamental text in its area. The reader will find that some of the terminology will appear somewhat arcane - a result of 40 years of the development of information processing - but the content will more than maks up for it. It is a shame that this book has become largely forgotten.This book is truly a work of historical importance and a keystone in the developmemt of the communications industry.
