Volume 1 has already been useful - my wife, daughter and myself were in Greece a couple of months ago and having even limited skills in the language totally changed the attitude of the locals towards us! Christine (daughter) was a great hit around the town we were staying in as she was the only British child who had any skills at all in the language. The Rosetta Stone system is pretty good (and goes further) - but for pain free and quick learning of basics of a language at sensible prices, I'm really impressed with the Earworms method! This is a joy to listen to. Eckhart certainly knows the essence of all the key spiritual messages that have been passed down over the centuries and puts them in his own non-dogmatic, modern, clear way. I have studied spiritual, religious and mystical writings for over twenty years - and this sums them all up.

this is a useful cd to have and it does help you to learn spanish wherever, as long as you have a cd player with you. but if you have time to spare sitting in front of a computer screen i would recomend going to the bbc website first, it offers all that this cd offers and more for free and in a similar format called mi vida loca which not only offers audio( like the cd ) but video and is a hell of a lot more interactive.

His affinity with the Welsh, his love of language, particularly their language, his melancholy and his air of delightfully mischievous humour just permeate this work through and through. This was originally written to be heard, as a play for voices, i.e. radio. Reading it, however wonderful, and it is, is never going to replace the joy of listening to it, or seeing it in production. The play brings out the musical quality and the joyous rhythm of the words, and I would recommend using the book as a companion piece to the radio play, which is also available to buy. I love the wonderful use of alliteration and repetition which makes this work seem so primal and ritualistic. I love the cheekiness of the characters; the blind captain, who reminds ... Read More:

Although a lifelong fan of Agatha Christie,these Tuesday Club stories were rather spoilt for me by having a female narrator. I would have preferred a male rather than the familiar Miss Marple voice of Joan Hickson. At times it was confusing as the mainly male characters were telling their own stories but narrated by Miss Hickson,and despite everything she never lost her distinctive Miss Marple voice! (One of the characters in each story was also Miss Marple). I shall not be purchasing the second set of stories as they are also narrated by Joan Hickson who detracted from my listening pleasure.

This book is not exactly high quality writing of the level of Jane Austin but it isn't trying to be, it's more like a gripping Dan Brown detective novel but with the added bonus of being well written. The book moulds interesting multiple stories with history which is by and large accurate. Definitely worth a read.

I like listening to audio CD's in my car on the drive to work and this didn't let me down. Initial impressions are excellent, the CD's are stored in a gun metal tin inside a cardboard sleeve. Inside the tin the disks are held in individual cardboard sleeves. As a Bond fan I had a smile when I noticed there were seven disks, all labelled 001, 002 etc... The story is read by Jeremy Northam, defiantly a voice for Bond. His style of reading suits the story well and draws you in and holds you there. The story itself is said to be written "as Ian Fleming". I wonder who decided to give it that strap line. It's true the story picks up where Fleming's James Bond stories left off.
