I am having trouble understanding the other reviews on this book and CD, as I found this book unbelievably contrived, with too much talking. There is a french lady who introduces each song, which totally spoils the flow, especially as she has a really fake syrupy way of speaking which is very grating. I was so annoyed with the CD, I actually threw it away so my children (and others) would never be subjected to listening to it. I never do things like that normally, but I felt very passionately about this! If kids are bored and turned off to French early on, it may be hard work geting them interested again later on, by which time the damage has already been done. if you'd like comedy or would to see the funny side to being mugged and various other negative things. OOH! or if you like mark watson, comedy poet tim key or musical funny man tim minchin then buy this! buy it anyway. just because if you listen to it you'll laugh til you cant breathe, and everyone likes that lightheaded feeling. and and and listen to his latest radio show! this time he makes the world substantially better whilst talking about heavenly virtues (not the cocktail drinks. feauring tim key and tom basden! booyah.

I bought this CD after experiencing a period of anxiety. I realised soon after using this CD how much tension and stress I was carrying around with me. I istened to it every night for 2 or 3 weeks and found it very soothing and calming. The effects seem to last throughout the day. I would highly recommend this CD. I have also bought a couple of his other CD's which are good as well.

Kids love it - even better than the first volume. They can't get enough and now waiting for volume 3!

This CD works but you must listen to it as often as possible. It does not have actual techniques for remembering things but it takes away the self doubt and reminds you that you do have a good memory and it is just that you keep telling yourself you don't! It definitely increased my concentration as well. I always listen to it as I'm going to sleep. If you want to know a great book that includes techniques to enhance memory buy HOW TO PASS EXAMS BY DOMINIC O BRIEN I would give that book 5 stars! After reading it I can honestly say I can remember anything I want to! If you gave me 100 words to learn in order I could NOW bet you £1000 pound that I could remember them!!! So definitely think the two work great together!

An excellent book by Mr B. Every word is true, no nonsense and clearly spells out the steps you need to take OR NOT when setting up a business. Having just buried my first business I wish I had had it 5 years ago. Lessons I have learnt the hard way are spelt out here and should be heeded. While giving every encouragement to the budding small business person, he makes no bones about the need to know your market, your figures and when to walk away. A valuable book no small business should be without.

Agatha Christie thought this was one of her best and said it had been a pleasure to write. But for the first time ever, I guessed whodunnit ... and that took the edge off it! It's very readable, all the better for not being familiar from television - but I have a feeling that in our more cynical times the ending is not as shocking/unexpected as it would have been in 1949 when it was written. Still, it passed an afternoon very enjoyably.
