We like this book because of all the sounds in the story and we feel sorry for poor Mr. Bear. It makes us laugh.

This book soon became a favourite with our 20 month old son who is very into books and currently especially Thomas books. He would ask for 'Bertie' since this is about how Bertie the bus challenges Thomas to a race. Although he enjoyed the sound button, and this did not last many days of rough toddler attention, there is plenty of opportunity in the text for making your own noises.

I have two older children that i read these books to when they were younger and thay loved them very much I know have another child who is 5 and I have just started reading the percy books and she is loving finding out how percy helps his animal friends when thay are in trouble these are great books

This was a really fun book that I will recommend on to many readers, young and old alike. I had heard many good things about Anthony Horowitz and I was not to be disappointed. His pace of storyline is excellent and his characters are wonderfully developed. The villains are as colourful as any created by Ian Fleming and the background for the evil plot was well thought out. The actual diabolic plan and described results were in fact highly unrealistic, but that did not matter one iota to this gold nugget of a story. I read the entire book in about three and a half hours and will be quick to go and find the subsequent volumes in the series.

I have never been a mad Meg Cabot fan but I have read a few of the Princess Diaries and Mediator books and I totally loved her last book Jinx, so I was eager to read this one when I found out what it was about and it is definately my favourite book by her to date. Its about a teenage girl called Emmerson who is a tomboy and spends her time playing computer ganes with her friend Christopher (who she is secretly crushing on!), her sister Frida is the exact opposite, her main mission is to be popular and she idolises teen supermodel and face of Stark Enterprises, Nikki Howard. When Emmerson gets dragged along by Frida to Stark Megastores for a performance by popstar Gabriel Luna, something happens that will change Emmerson forever - literally!! ... Read More:

I really enjoyed the 5th Harry Potter book and mainly for the creation of Professor Umbridge! J.K. Rowling has created such a good villain with this character, I really could not stand the woman by the end of the book and the reader could really identify with the characters frustration with this vile and unfair woman. This book really sees the main charcacters growing up and is darker than the previous ones, I thought it was brilliant.
