If you've already decided you hate Cherie Blair (as some previous reviwers clearly have - one star? Come on - that's just nasty) then there will be little point in you reading this. Your views will not be changed. Fortunately, lots of people don't have their opinions formed by the tabloids, nor their barometer for perfection set so high that human failings are not permitted in anyone with the temerity to be in the public eye. To you, I would say, go and buy it. I came to it with little in the way of opinions other than that Cherie Blair must have done something terrible in a past life to have had so much opprobrium heaped on her over the years, plus I was interested in hearing her speak for herself. It helps, obviously, that I am close to her ... Read More:

I'm a little reluctant to admit to watching Top Gear as a guilty pleasure, even though half the time I haven't the foggiest idea what they are talking about! It was on this basis that I bought this James May book, hoping that things would become a little clearer. James May seems like the perfect teacher, a lot less abrasive than Jeremy Clarkson and looking a bit more like a science boffin than Richard Hammond.

I found this book hugely enjoyable. The short articles mean that it is easy to pick up and put down and he covers a range of topics from haunted car parks to how to solve disputes with van drivers and from cup-holders in cars to camper van holidays.

There were times when I was still lost. For example; 'The BTCC A4 is ... Read More:

I just don't understand why this book recieves such good reviews? I found it a boring read - the type of stories that boring people try to regale you with whilst stuck on a train or other public places where escape from their witterings is hard.

A great read, for young adults and adults alike. At first I thought, is this just an Alex Rider copy?? But as you get reading you find its not, its just as good and fast.
The new range of young adult boks are really making a change in peoples reading style.
The Alex Rider series, Fldgeling Jason Steed, Cody Banks and Young James Bond are all great novels.

In a topsy-turvy world where madness, greed, and evil are now the perceived normailty and "common sense", books like Walden are confirmation that it is better to be different to the majority.

Thoreau elaborately discusses the wisdom which some of us may at times have pondered on. Many future denizens of Hell, jealously target human beings who are earning more Heaven with each passing moment, and attack them to try and weaken their soul. But a well-read and discerning individual perseveres with ease, and remains authentic.

A wonderful example is where Thoreau speaks of the utter futility of those who profess to be charitable, but are in actual fact a part of the problem. Thoreau gives an analogy of a slave breeder, who donates ... Read More:

`Boy' is about Roald Dahl's childhood and it is as good as Matilda, BFG and the Twits. It's very imaginative and true an awfully strange pair. You can imagine bits of it like when they got caned for putting a dead mouse in the Sweet Shop lady's sweets, Roald Dahl went to a boarding school for boys as his secondary school and he went to a Catholic primary school. Roald Dahl wrote another book about his past but as a pilot of a fighter plane for the RAF in the Second World War, but that is another story which I have also reviews called `Going Solo'. I have to say this is one of my favourite books of all time. I would rate it 1000000000/10. I think anyone and everyone would enjoy is and some people might have met his before he died in 1990. A must read book!

This book centres around the personal and professional love life of Belle. This is easy to read but doesn't measure up to the hype that surrounds it. First off, I just didn't like Belle and her writing style. And sometimes the stuff she is sharing with us is just way too much information. I thought this might be a sexy & interesting read but the writer seems very self-involved and it doesn't really give you much of an insight into the industry.

One of the most powerful and engaging autobiographical works from a `frontline' Christian activist I've read in a long time. It's impossible not to like Shane Claiborne, whose infectious love for Jesus and total commitment to bringing his love to all, whether North Philadelphia's poor or the bombed citizens of Iraq, is plain to see. Claiborne is someone all Christians (and others) could learn from for sheer breadth of sympathy across the Christian traditions, sense of vocation, and depth of theological understanding blended with sassy political commitment to bringing about change. A must-read.
