I have never in my life ever read a book which has inspired me as much as "the warrior of light". From the first to the last page words of wisdom enthrall the reader. This book is truly magnificent all credit to Coelho. I recommend this to any person who is a deep thinker and interested in what others have to say. I think it has the power to motivate even the most unmotivated of us. After reading this book i guarantee you won't see the world in the same light ever again.

This is the first book I have read by Paul Coelho - what a great introduction. i read it in one evening, but it would be great for browsing as well - I want to send copies to my friends and family - it is really inspirational

An anonymous person sent me this book as a gift. S/he must have though it would benefit me in some way, or maybe s/he was just having a laugh. S/he needn't have bothered. It's meaningless, but sounds meaningful. Not since reading Kahlil Gibran's "The Prophet" have I come across such pretentious twaddle.

This is my second reading for Paulo Coelho, Such amazing wonderful reading that I was enjoying each minute of it. I liked this as much as I liked The Alchemist. The concept of the story ( despite the job of the main character as a hooker ) it gives alot of moral and themes for personal life. This man has a lovely style of writing that capture you with him till the end, especially with this novel from a woman side Overall, it is a worth reading for those who would like to understand the male and female for different sides.

This is a very beautiful little book. As a complete fan of Paulo Coelho, this book is a treasure to me. It brings together some of the best quotations from his work, plus some previously unpublished quotations. There are also beautiful drawings by Anne Kristin Hagesaether, to complete the package. However, despite my total love for this book, I am not sure what other people, who have only read maybe a couple of Coelho's novels, would get from it. Maybe some would be able to take the quotations for what they are, but I have the fear that some may expect things from this collection which it just cannot give. Without a doubt this book is a truly great piece of work. Not the simplistic and beautiful message we can easily absorb and receive in the Alchemist... nonetheless a powerful read. It does get a bit heavy and circuitous in the middle chapters for sure but I think having read many Paulo Coelho books he uses the weightiness of his story to show us sometimes how life can be.... we get weighed down with life before we find our path once again. Read this book if you have ever found yourself lost or unhappy with what you have become in your life... its a soulful search for the man he had lost ... the one his wife could no longer live with. That is a little crude, but it was the first title that popped into my head. This is a captivating, beautifully written (albeit short) story of a young woman who decides to commit suicide. However she doesn't die straight away, but wakes up in a mental institution and is told that she has irreparably damaged her heart and has less than a week to live. She then spends the next 5 days on a personal journey, learning to appreciate life, and cherish even the mundane moments. She can fulfil fantasies as she has no fear of rebuke. One prevalent theme in the novel is that we repress our feelings for fear of what others may think, when we should just have the courage to live.
