It's about discovering what your users want, what they're doing on your website, and how you can help them get to where they want to be. Avinash does a superb job of explaining this in his book, and if you're in any way serious about doing web analytics the right way, you need to get this book.

I have been using flash for years and there are still some great tricks that I have learnt from this book. I lecture flash at university to complete beginners and I intend to point them in the direction of this book. The exercises look great and are FUN to complete. Flash is not the easiest program to learn. The beauty of this book is that the content is so engaging, the exercises rewarding, you might not even notice you are learning along the way.

I bought this because in all my gaming years the prima guides have never failed me. Until now. this guide DOES NOT cover the ps2 platform so there is no reason to buy this other then to waste money if you own a playstation 2. I'm really disapointed with the strategy guide but i'm going to have to go it alone on this one now.

As the title suggests, the book is a step by step guide to Office Project 2007. It walks you through all of the different aspects of Project that a new or intermediate user could be expected to know or benefit from. It also provides a number of "tips" where a more advanced or enquiring user may want to find further information. The layout and structure of the book is very good, which could reasonably be expected, with "Chapters at a Glance", "Summaries of topics covered", "Key points" and very clear formatting to help the reader/user. As a previous user of an older version of Project, I bought the book as both a refresher to Project and an introduction to the new 07 version. It has certainly delivered on both these counts. Preece et al provide a good exposition of usability issues, but look out of their depth when they try to analyse problems from an software engineering perspective. Much of their analysis is either truism or superficial. They then move back onto the more comfortable territory of human-computer interface techniques. There is much in the book that is useful for software engineers to hear, but the poor understanding that the writers have of the realities of commercial software engineering means that it is unlikely that the software engineers will take the lessons seriously, even though there is a pressing need for them to understand what they're doing wrong. If you've got a Nikon D60, then you'll be looking at this and wondering if this is worth buying to get more out of your camera.... If all you want to do is learn what all the buttons do, then don't bother buying this. The same info is contained in the comprehensive manual that came with your camera. If you're looking to learn better photography, then there are better, more detailed manuals and books on this subject available.
