I love DK eye witness normally...but I fell into a trap on this one..Look at the publish date - feb 2004. It's over 4 years out of date now - I rely on these guides for hotel/restaurant information. In 4 years much can happen. I appreciate that much of the information is still extremely relevant(hence 3 stars) but disapponited these guides are not updated yearly.

I have never given maps much thought before: Bought this map after amazon review recommendation. Yes, excellent. Extremely easy to use & see where going etc. (Although also used another U bahn map as well as routes slightly more detailed than on Rough Guide map) It covers Berlin but but you will need further maps for Wannsee & daytrips from berlin. Overall it was a much better city map than the one my companion bought out there. It folds well is slim & light & the coated paper is supposedly waterproof so map doesn't all fall apart after 1 day's use! Still looks unused. I too shall look out for similar type of map for future trips.

If you want bad advice written by people who sound like they went around rubbing all Floridians up the wrong way read this. I made the mistake of booking some of the hostels listed in here only to arrive at my destination to discover that I could not have picked a grottier rip off to stay in. Luckily I had researched my destination independently and so only a few nights were spoilt by the advice in this lonely planet. The prices are very inaccurate and the advice it gives about the friendliness of people is utter rubbish. Miami and Key West were just two of the places that this Lonely Planet writer said the people were unfriendly in and that proved to be completely false. My advice would be to take everything in this guide with a pinch ... Read More:

This map is of good quality, the fact that it is waterproof and tearproof helps greatly in the unpredictable Florida weather!! The only thing it really misses is perhaps a more local map of the Orlando / Kissimee areas (the tourist area), to help those who haven't been before. Worth the money though!

This map is of good quality, the fact that it is waterproof and tearproof helps greatly in the unpredictable Florida weather!! The Michelin maps are excellent. They are extremely detailed with a scale of 1 inch = 3.16 miles. With motorway exits and entrances for example, it's clearly marked in which directions they operate. It includes useful information like toll roads, petrol stations and even speed radar locations. I also like the insider information. Panoramic lookouts and scenic routes are all clearly indicated (the other regional maps that I considered didn't have this). However do be aware that unlike the broader regional Michelin maps, there are no indications of which towns and villages are of interest to tourists.
